I got this email this morning. Does anyone know what's happening? Why?
Posting it here in case anyone else in the affiliate program has a super tough junk mail and didn't get to see it. Just want everyone to be aware of this.
First off, is it just me, or did everyone get this type of email? (Check y'all junk mail before answering please). There was no explanation as to why it's getting suspended/paused, nor was there an estimate for how long it's going to be on pause, so I'm rather concerned. Not much transparency. I suppose it's up to their discretion to disclose what's going on, but still.
I don't understand why the need for sudden suspension - as far as I can tell, Eden's getting sales as normal, (the orders I've been getting through affiliate links haven't really changed) so why would something like this happen?

I'm not in this program but another community member told me about this yesterday. I feel so bad about this because I know that this is income for these members. The person I talked to did not know what was going on either. I really hope EF brings it back soon for everyone's sake!! So sorry!!

I wonder if it is because of store closures due to covid 19. I know a lot of retailers are having to do similar things to tighten the belt. I'm sure as soon as things get back to normal or as normal as they're going to get they will pick their Affiliates back up. I'm not an affiliate so I don't know this for sure but it sounds pretty reasonable. I hope they pick you all back up soon.
I was especially confused by: "Please make sure to remove all active links leading to the EdenFantasys website."
I understand there won't be commissions from the use of links, but it would be disrupting to my blog and time consuming to remove them. I will be leaving things as is, except for taking down any FTC disclosures since they will no longer apply since they won't be aff links.
I am extremely disappointed and would love additional information.
Our team is working on some changes to the website, and we had to deactivate the Affiliate program only for this period in order to provide smooth functioning of the website and high-level services.
Notification e-mails were sent to every participant of the Affiliate program.
As was mentioned in the letter, the earned commissions will be paid as usual, but if you have less then $50 on your balance and can not transfer money to your PayPal or check, you're welcome to spend them during purchasing on our website.
All affiliate links will remain working, but they won't bring you any commissions. As soon as the Affiliate program is resumed, a partner code in a link will be activated again.
Sorry for the disappointment it may cause to you! I hope, we will undo the restrictions soon, and you'll be able to enjoy being the affiliate and earning money with Eden again.

Honestly, I would think the opposite. There's a lot more people at home, probably bored and looking for more ways to pleasure themselves. Social media makes it seem as if there's more people buying more things, so I don't see the issue in it. If anything, I saw a sharp increase in the number of orders placed in the past month before a quick drop again. It's weird.

I understand there won't be commissions from the use of links, but it would be disrupting to my blog and time consuming to remove them. I will be leaving things as is, except for taking down any FTC disclosures since they will no longer apply since they won't be aff links.

I was hella confused about that myself. Like, why's that a thing? I have my affiliate links strewn all over the place, mostly in my reviews which are hosted here on EF. I can't go in and edit any of those reviews since the 12-24h time limit to make edits after posting is looooong gone, so those are very much staying right where they are.

Yes!! I've often been curious as to why we still use those categories here. Eden has the opportunity to really change for the best. They have the community and conversations that involve sexuality, genders, and how all that fits into today world. But still subscribes to outdated labeling.

I also feel like it would make sense to replace the 'sex toys' category with something else - perhaps a link to the community forum or maybe a random toy. We've already got links to couples, vibrators, dildos, and anal toys, all of which are sex toys, so... it feels a bit redundant.

Affiliate program is a way to earn money with Eden getting the commissions for promoting our products on your internet resource (website, blog, shop, etc.). More detailed info you can find right here
BTW, there is also Offline Affiliate program, so you may earn commissions even if you don't have any internet platform.
