I really like the program.
The only thing I can think of improving is the time it takes to credit the account after a return. I received an email saying that my order was received Monday and am waiting for the credit to show up so I can order my Liberator stuff (and not completely break the bank). I just need to be patient.

And I think Betty Rocket was suggesting LOCKED forums. I thought that this was the new locked forum she suggested and you said was up, but I just accessed this page without being logged in.

Absolutely. A forum accessable only by affiliates and EF staff. The general public should not be able to view or post here..........

Unfortunately at this point we don't have an option to create a private forum available to a group, we will think what we can do here.

Perhaps we can start an off site forum just for affiliates.......any interest?

Perhaps instead of a forum, a mailing list would be better?

I don't have many questions about being an "affiliate". Now some of the special programs (free toy reviews, etc.) I would have an interest in.

I think it would be wise to have a forum that is secure, that way the issues within the affiliates and contributors area would not be public information i.e. the security issue from yesterday.

someone had commented in the other thread about being surprised they did not delete the thread, and I am just as surprised. Most places would have. However, the powers that be wanted us to have a forum to express ourselves and left it open for us. I think this would have been fine, if had been in an area only viewable to us, and not to the general public.

I work on Niteflirt, the website offers forums but customers are able to check them if they create a quick "seller" account. I was invited by one of the girls on the site to join their Yahoo group, it's private and you are only able to join by invitation only. It's offsite but it works well, it's something the girls there took the initiative to do. I have a LOT on my plate right now so I don't think I'd have the time to create a Yahoo group and moderate it but if someone else did I'd certainly join.

I'm game. I would set it up, however I would need some help. Anyone want to pitch in??

Also, I would like to have the consent of the staff before I set off on this venture..

Thanks Victoria, once again, for being so helpful. It's been a hell of a first week for you.

Another option is a locked blog on blogger. The only problem is that I think it can only have 100 authors. It can be set up in a heartbeat. We just need emails. It would be a temporary option, but I don't like taking Eden stuff off Eden.

Thoughts?

This is a great category. Thanks. Locking it to sign only would be nice though.

It would be nice to have a place to have very frank conversation that isn't really necessary for general public information. Before I joined I liked being able to read about toy use, cleaning, etc. without an account. It was one of the reasons I joined.

I notice that there are actually not that many affiliates participating in the forums.

Maybe setting up certain categories for just the affiliates would provide us with even more initiative to share other topics. This could result in more affiliate participation which would seem good for EF business.
