12 days and order still hasn't shipped! Bigger order = longer waiting time?

Hi all,

I put in my order on the 14th December, and my order has yet to be shipped out (international shipping).. I sent in a ticket, and was informed that my order should be shipped out on Wednesday, which was 4 days ago. The status still says "in process", and the estimated shipping date as well as estimated delivery date is the 1st of January.

My previous order, which consisted of 3 items, was promptly shipped out after 2 days (and that was because it was a weekend), but my current order consists of 8 items, so I was wondering if this could be the reason pertaining to the long delay?

It's a bit of a bummer because I intended to get these as a Christmas present to myself. I'm so impatient to receive my goodies

I think it would be safe to submit another Ticket

The support saff is very friendy and I am sure they will let you know. I only had this happen to me once, and it was due to an item being discontinued. Not saying that is your problem, I certainly hope not. Mine was an assignment though.

Yeah, maybe there was a problem with one of the items? Low, lost or out of stock issues, perhaps. A friendly reminder couldn't hurt, I'd think.

The shipping/processing date always shows up as January 1 - at least for me. Even in the middle of July. I think it's the system's default setting.

As for your order, it'd be safe to submit another support ticket, but it just probably has to do with the holidays and something possibly being out of stock. I must say that I make huge orders all the time, and while they might require an extra day for processing, they almost always go out within two days. When an item is out of stock, EF is also pretty good about shipping the rest of the order just minus the item too.

It's possible that, in the holiday rush, something was lost somewhere, so support tickets are good.

Possible that one of the items is on backorder and they are waiting for it so it can be included in one shipment?

Thanks for the advice, everyone! I sent in another ticket, but hopefully it gets shipped out soon..

I really hope it's not because any of the items are out of stock or anything- that would probably take another week or two at the very least!

Hi everyone,

Just an update here:

It's been 16 days, and my order STILL has not shipped.

I sent in the other ticket like you guys advised, and Alicia said that the delay was due to the snowstorm that occurred recently (which technically happened starting the 24th, so it doesn't really explain the a 10 day delay), and it should be shipped out on the 29th.

Weather Update: December 28th
It looks like the sun has returned, skies are clear and, thankfully, operations are back to normal too.
USPS and UPS made their pick-ups today (and will do one more round before the end of day).
We thank everyone for being so patient.

So I thought: Maybe it's actually being shipped out today (on the 28th) and not tomorrow!

Well, it didn't ship out. Oh well, I'm sure it'll be shipped out tomorrow like Alicia said it will!

So I thought: Hurray! I'm sure my package will DEFINITELY finally ship out today! FINALLY! At least I can get it in time for New Year's Eve, so it's not too bad..

But nope.. IT STILL HASN'T SHIPPED..

I feel really bummed, shouldn't EF work by a FIFO (first in first out) basis? I mean, geesh, I've been waiting for 16 days- the last time my package took 2 days to be shipped! Shouldn't my package be of a slightly higher priority compared to the other ones since it's been delayed for such a long time?

Sorry for the rant everyone, but I'm pretty sure I'm probably experiencing the longest ever shipping delay to ever grace EF and needed to let off some steam.

With only just looking this thread over, it sounds like one of the products may have went out of stock.

Sending a support ticket was the right idea. It should clear up any issues soon.

JR, I did send in the other ticket on the 27th, asking if there was anything causing the delay- Alicia said it was just due to the bad weather..

That's probably it then. The East Coast got hit pretty hard with a snow storm.

Yeah, I'm on the East Coast right now and the snowstorm hit things pretty hard on Christmas and the day after. They're still clearing a lot of roads and a ton of flights were canceled or delayed. The effects of the storm last much longer than the storm itself, but things are slowly clearing up.

Yeah I understand that the weather's been terrible, but the notice was put up saying "We are happy to inform you that everything in our order fulfillment chain is back to normal." So I would expect that my package should have been shipped out immediately since it had already been delayed for so long, in a first in first out basis..

I mean, if FedEx or DHL took a longer time to deliver the package because of weather problems, I would understand, but my order hasn't even been shipped out yet.

Sorry if I sound bratty or anything, I'm just a little frustrated that EF is taking so long with my order- the snowstorm only hit late December, and my order was put in on the 14th..

It's been 17 days since I put in my order and I'm still waiting for it to be shipped.. I can't help but feel really upset because from what I've been reading in the forums, there are people that have put in their orders later than mine and have already either received their goodies or are waiting for the delivery man to drop them off.

3 days ago Alicia said my package ought to have REALLY been shipped out (Quote: "All international orders will be leaving tomorrow.") and it's been 3 days since the weather's cleared up and order fulfillment is back to normal.. So I'd really like to know why my order hasn't been shipped out yet after such a long period of time

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem?

Hi everyone,

My package still hasn't been shipped.. And I'm going to have to wait at least 2 more days till Monday to wait, since it's the weekend..

I'm not even upset about not being able to try the stuff I ordered anymore- it's the fact that EF's amazingly short processing time has always been raved over and celebrated, but here I've been waiting for close to 3 weeks now and my order has yet to even be shipped out.

Customer service is great in the fact that I get quick responses within a day, but I've been told at least twice that my package is supposed to be shipped off by a particular date, and each time I've just been let down.

If any item in my order is out of stock, I understand, but I received no notification whatsoever stating that part of my order is out of stock, and upon asking what the cause of the delay is, I am told that it's because of bad weather conditions, and "all international orders will be leaving tomorrow"- that was 4 days ago. I will ignore the fact that the snowstorm only hit late December around the 24th, and I'd put in my order on the 14th- I just really want to know what is happening with my order..

Wow - that's quite a length of time.
Did you pay via credit card?
Seems a little strange - must be something wrong somewhere.
I'm overseas and the longest I have waited for any order to be sent was about 3 days and thats because I used a credit card and it had to be verified through the bank.

Has your payment been taken for your order?
If it hasn't, maybe you should cancel the order and try doing it again.

I'd imagine you would receive notice if an item was out of order. Or they would just send whats in stock and send the other items later once in.

Hi Shellz31,

Yes I paid by credit card, not by EF points or gift card.. The full payment had already been taken from my account one day after putting in my order. And like I said, I haven't received any notification to let me know that there was any problems at all with it..

I've sent in multiple ticket responses asking about the delay, and each time I'm just told "thank you for your patience, it will be shipping on on X date" when it isn't, so I really have no idea what I'm supposed to do

Hi all,

Just an update, I sent in another ticket response on Friday- turns out one item in my order was missing, which was why my order was being delayed for so long.

I do wish I was informed of this earlier instead of only finding out after waiting for 22 days and sending in so many tickets, so I'm a little disappointed with EF's service..

Anyways, I cancelled the missing item from my order, and it should supposedly be shipped off tomorrow. Fingers crossed that it will REALLY be shipped out this time!
