Trial Period?

Contributor: GoneNow GoneNow
I am very confused about the trial period for new members. Nothing in the guidelines or in my account area says which actions are mandatory. Can someone help, please?

From what I understand you cannot ask for an upgrade once you have a mentor but both actions are in the list so it's very mixed up as to what I have to do and what is optional?

Oh I didn't realize that was set up that way...I'll have to look into it and add/remove one of the options (veteran Comm-members guess which one that will be!). Thanks for pointing it out.

To anyone else wondering, all actions are mandatory and must be completed before the account will upgrade. This is perhaps where the whole process is stopped.

What about people who don't want to become reviwers? Does this mean if I don't want to do more reviews I will be stuck as a trial member?

This is what the trial point page looks like. If someone wants to join in the forum but not review there is no way to ever advance. This system forces customers to become reviewers and deal with mentors and upgrades and posting to facebook to earn any points for other types of participation. It doesn't make sense to me why that is being done.

That's not an accurate statement.
