#Holiday - #Contest - 'Twas the Night Before...

Contributor: Ansley Ansley

It's time for Holiday Contest #2!

We've all had those holidays where things just either go so wrong that they should be featured on Jerry Springer or go so right that Martha Stewart would be proud. We're betting people have had more of the former than the latter!

So break out your word program and get to typing! Send us your funniest, goofiest holiday story to date. (While the sad and depressing happens just as frequently, we want to keep things sunshine and roses 'round here this season, so save those for another time.)

Submission Guidelines:

- Stories must be no more than 800 words and no less than 500 words.

- Stories must center around a winter-themed holiday; whether it's Christmas, New Year's, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or Joe Bob's Bricklaying Holiday doesn't matter.

- Content should be funny and uplifting.

- Send stories to stormy@edenfantasys.co m

- Subject line should read: "Holiday Story Contest"

- Please include your screenname

- Deadline is Midnight, Friday night (so the stroke of midnight Dec. 7th)

Good luck everyone and I can't wait to read your stories!

Sounds cool. I'll have to see if I can remember anything good. I don't think I can though.

I sent mine it. It took a while to edit it down to 800 words. I tend to be quite detailed in my writing!

Fluff it up. If you need help, I'm sure Airen would be more than happy to offer her assistance.

I wasn't sure how many entries this contest would get and I didn't want the voters to have to read a novel's worth of forum posts in order to vote.

Still doing some editing to make it smoother (and fit under 800 words).

Awesome! I was going to be really sad if we only had two entries. I think I'll wave my magic wand and extend the deadline to the stroke of midnight December 10th. How does that sound?

Oh definitely, it usually takes me a while to go through just the weekly rumble reviews lol. I am sure there will be an excellent turnout. Who can resist a chance to reminisce(sp?)!
