Romney vs. Obama vs. Your Uterus, by Freshbananas! - Click here to read the full article.

The Presidential Election is next week; many have voted early, many still are voting by absentee ballot and with all of the hope in the world, there will be millions at the polls come next Tuesday.

With Hurricane Sandy overshadowing the outcome and talking points of the debates, many are wondering who will win this year. The info coming in from various polls has showed that it's pretty much neck and neck.

In her article, Freshbananas outlines the candidates stance on one very specific topic: abortion. Romney's stance is that he would be delighted if abortion wasn't an option and though Obama is personally pro-choice, his political stance is that he is pro-choice.

The main question we would like to pose is this:

Do your reproductive rights factor into your vote? And a bonus question, does it surprise anyone that a Republican is against abortion?

I was never planning on voting for Romney, but anti-abortion is, in my opinion, anti-woman. If they take that right away, what others will they attack next? It's just plain wrong, but it's also backwards momentum in an effort that has made so much progress through so much struggle and work. It's appalling to me that this is even still an issue! These politicians have NO RIGHT to make decisions about my uterus or anything about my health, for that matter. Obama made a statement to that effect after the Todd Akin debacle which just ramped up my respect for him considerably. I disagree with Romney on just about everything, but with the other anti-feminist, misogynistic comments Romney has made, I REALLY can't understand why any woman, or any man who respects women, would vote for him.

I'm Canadian but have been following this election rabidly, as our PM likes to mimic US politics in his own way.

Roe V Wade was a landmark decision that impacted worldwide politics, and anyone wanting to overturn/disregard it should be courting the wrath of every woman, in my opinion.

I am terrified that there are women who support Romney, even if they themselves are pro-life. How can you support a man who wants to bring women back to the 1950s? Don't even get me started on his wife.

Oh, I could go on for ever on these people, the voting-machine-buying son as well. And I am an animal rights activist, so... I will stop here

The more you listen to Romney, the more you realize that he is completely out of touch with most Americans. His "just borrow money from your parents," line for example.

If he gets into the white house, I believe women's rights (among others) will be on the chopping block. It's almost like he has zero empathy, and can't even pretend to care for anything that doesn't directly benefit himself.

I agree. The "just borrow money from your parents" comment shows he has NO freakin' idea how most middle class and poor Americans live. We had our two oldest in college at the same time. There was NO way we could lend our children money. We helped out where we could, but even at a state University, we didn't have the money to "lend" them for ONE of them to go to a single semester of college, not to mention both of them at the same time.

I hope things change before our youngest (now 13) gets to college. My husband may have to postpone retirement just to make sure the child gets a decent education, if college costs keep going up and the government stops making subsidized loans available at a low rate (as the Right would have it, if they had their way. They want our children undereducated and poor and willing to take poor paying, no room for advancement jobs to KEEP THEM (the Rich Right) rich and in control of everybody else. It works for them, but not for the rest of us.) As it is, my older two will be in debt for the next 20 years just to make their student loans.

I agree with Beck, R.v.W. is just 1 judge away from being overturned as it is. If Romney gets in it's gone, the middle class is under the thumb of the extreme upper-class if he gets in they'll be crushed by that thumb. What the jerk needs to do is to close his Chinese factories and bring the jobs over here.

My honest opinion about the abortion situation is I believe every woman has the right to choose abortion or keep their baby. No one actually knows why a woman would choose abortion and it could be for many reasons such as: she was a victim of rape, birth control failure (it can happen), she's just not ready to be a parent due to a financial situation etc... It goes both ways so it's very tricky, if you just have sex and get pregnant yes I believe you should have your baby because you made your bed and now u have to lye in it. If you are a victim of rape and get pregnant you rightfully have the decision to terminate your pregnany. If you think about Romney for a second he is a mormon (I have absoultely nothing against mormons) and mormons are by the book kind of people and if you shame them or the church then they disown you and kick you out of the church and/or shame you in front of the church. Let's not forget that Romney has a love child that he wanted put up for adoption because the mother had him out of wedlock but she chose to keep the baby and the church shamed her for her decision.

Exactly what I wanted to say. Now I don't have to type it all out. I just hope people get out and vote, and don't assume from all of these polls that Obama has it in the bag. Romney's family owns the voting machines in Ohio for crying out loud, anything can happen if people don't do their part.

Oh yeah I know, I think the son was extra stupid to think that by buying voting machines no one could figure out that it's most likely rigged.

This is not something I want to get into (because I like neither candidates and do not align with Dems or Repubs enough to identify as either), but I'm very pro-choice. I'm also pretty confident that Roe vs. Wade is not going to be overturned any time soon in this country, no matter what Republican candidates have to say to get the ultr-conservative vote. The issue that most Americans care about right now is the economy. I'm not saying the issue of abortion isn't important (it most certainly is), but I'm not worried about our rights being in danger. Politicians talk a lot because they have to. I've learned to tune out certain things that are likely not that much of an issue in favor of the larger problems that surely everyone will be focused on...like getting jobs.

Obama walked into a fucked up country and WE ALL knew it was going to take more then 1 damn term to fix things. i will never for for romney he is a douche and makes our country look like shit with the shit that he is saying about wanting to change. I could go on for hours about the whole presidential election but I will say this " Obama is doing what we need to have done and I love what is he doing for our country"

I don't really like either candidate however, I dislike Romney more. I am Pro-Life but feel women have a right to make their own decisions. I used to believe everyone should be prolife. I changed my mind after I grew up. I have noticed many pro-lifers are against government assistance. I feel that you can't be a prolife and against helping the life your tried to protect.

I feel Romney will set womens rights back.

this is why the prochoice talks about the anti choice side. because many people are pro choice, but pro life is their personal choice. pro life is not the opposite view.

I toally agree. as a WOMAN, why would you allow a man to decide when, where, and how to have a kid? AND there is a person who is running for the Senate in Indiana said that if a woman gets pregnant during a rape, then it was God's will. As a woman, why would you vote for that?
