Hello,

My name's iovys. I graduated from being a student in the review program back a few weeks ago and became a mentor myself. I've always had a knack for the English language, and I love testing & writing about my experiences with toys, so it sounded like a perfect match for me.

You can check out what my writing style is like on my profile here. If you navigate to the Reviews and Articles tab, and scroll to the bottom, you can submit a request to become my student. If you've any interest in getting to review toys at no expense to you, feel free to shoot me a student request; I don't bite (hard).

The process is relatively simple and upon graduation, you automatically become an 'Advanced Eden Reviewer', who can request toys on their own.

Hi iovys! I'm not sure I'm eligible to be a student, as I'm already an advanced reviewer, even though we can all certainly benefit from going back to the basics at times. But major kudos on becoming a mentor! I don't believe the site is the booming sextropolis it used to be, but maybe one day it will be again! <3

Dear iovys, it's so great you came forward to offer mentorship. Sadly, MissMandy is right - we are not as hyping and buzzing as we used to be, but we're working our butts off to get back there. Give it time. I'm sure someone will come forward.

Yeah, I will usually check out the site every day or two but some folks will only be on Eden every other week or less. You will get some students shortly. I am sure.

I look forward to the changes to come! I've been trying to be more active on the forums again, but I've noticed a lot of the posts that are being commented on are several years old. Perhaps we should do some sort of roll call? See who all is truly active?

@MissMandii: If I remember correctly, each mentor can only take on 2 students at a time, so I think it's better if I save them for newbies. I do appreciate your offer, though!

@GingerAnn: I'm doing my best to be patient! One day, I hope!

@Soundside46: It's good to hear from you again; and I hope you're right haha~

If it were possible, honestly, I'd lock and/or archive those old threads. Chances are, those original posters won't be coming back to check if someone has replied to their post 9 years after it's been created, and I don't think most people look at the original post date.

I can always come up with poll topics. I have done a few but didn't want to overdo it. But I think I could easily come up with a good poll or discussion once a week if anybody is interested

I've brought a small handful of friends to Eden, but they stray from the forums like from fire hahaha~

Life is cyclical. It happens we have a few students, the other times a lot of people come at one moment. Same thing on the forum. A calm quiet period changes with a splash of activity. And we deeply appreciate your contribution to the community life! We are lucky to have you, guys, on the site

Really is cynical, isn't it hahaha~

Recall how previously I was unable to find an active mentor (I wrote about it in the forums, and even messaged an admin, I think?) for the longest time? And how now it's difficult to find students? Why not set up a system similar to that of Eden Tasks? Where students submit their requests to all the mentors and the (active) mentors pick up those that put in requests. I see a lot more activity there, on both ends of the spectrum (with submissions getting cleared out quickly). Win/Win situation

I hope that you find a nice handful yourself; we don't have that many around. Hopefully we do get more people interested. I've pulled a friend into EdenFantasys, and she's placed a few orders, but has no time to write reviews, unfortunately.
