If something you order is labeled "Backorder" will they just send it when it is back in stock or what do I need to do to still get the item?

I got a descriptive review item that said backordered after it was supposedly shipped. A day later I got another email saying that it was being shipped and then I was sent a tracking email.
But I would still submit a ticket to be safe
