Do you feel that "luxury" toys are worth the cost?

Toys are often considered "luxury" if they are rechargeable, pure silicone or a similar material, waterproof, and/or expensive. Do you think these types are usually worth the cost? Any favorite brands?

Some of them are, definitely. My favorites for these are Jopen and Fun Factory

The premium quality toys are just that high quality - but that does not necessarily mean high performance. You've got to read the reviews carefully for those nuggets of information that give you confidence that they will actually work well for you - or that they will not.

I'm happy with my premium toys - but I have been burned by a few big disappointments.

Yes, mostly. Not all of them turn out super great, but the quality is invariably a great improvement over the cheaper toys.

I think my Lelo Billy is worth every penny I paid, and even as much as it usually costs (I got mine on sale ). The quality is phenominal...even the packaging is amazing!

I think where luxury toys really shines is with dildos. The Pure Wand, glass toys, and dual-density silicone dildos - these are purchases that can last a lifetime.

With vibrators, there's the motor to consider. Lelo does a wonderful job making powerful, quiet motors, but their best toys aren't waterproof. The Insignia line, which is waterproof, has plastic bits all worked into the design of their toys which cheapens them, in my opinion.

My other luxury vibe is Je Joue's G-Ki, which is an amazing toy, but not as powerful or as quiet as the Lelo ones.

I do! I love all my expensive toys, especially the We-Vibes and LELO toys.

Generally? No. I've seen too many "luxury" toys that just don't perform well or last long enough to be the worth the extra $70 or whatever. In many cases, and for many people, less expensive toys will do. This is bigger problem with vibes than it is with non-mechanical toys.

But there are, of course, luxury toys that seem to be worth their price.

As silverdrop touched on above, dildos are my biggest 'must be luxury' thing. Although I do have some non-luxury motorized toys that I use, 95% of them are in the 'luxury' category.

Typically I think they're overpriced, but sometimes you have to make that investment, as the performance is far better than cheaper models.

Silverdrop nailed it. Luxury dildos are usually a solid investment. They're well made and can last forever with proper care - I don't mind paying $100 for something that'll bring me well over 100 orgasms. Plus they tend to be at least slightly cheaper than vibes.

Luxury vibes are more of a gamble, but some are definitely worth it. I've grown to love Fun Factory, and my Alia from LELO was definitely a good choice. I'm hoping to get a MiMi sometime soon, too.

Of course, waiting for sales and using points instead of real money can make such toys even more worthwhile. True, they're luxury items, but it's still a lot of money. Nothing wrong with finding ways to chop down the price.

Some yes. Some probably are a bit over priced for what you get. Like things that are ridiculously priced and only 3 vrooms is just stupid. But things like Jopen... well thats quality!!

Some of the pricing is ridiculous, but they generally are worth it.

For a toy with a variety of features, yes, I think the price would definitely be worth it for a quality product. Don't the more expensive toys also come with a warranty?

Depends on the company, but often they do.

some are. But lately I have had a run of them that just dont live up to the price tag.

Some are--but some aren't. You really need to evaluate the benefits of each toy along with the price tag and see if you think there's a cheaper toy out there that will work as well for you. If there is, it's probably not worth it.

some of the more expensive ones that my wife has received are pretty decent. i wouldn't say that they are worth over $100 (but we don't use them as often as others). i guess it all depends on your body/preferences and how often you use them and if they are more convienent for you or not.

The only luxury toy I have at the moment is a Lelo and I love it so much more then my cheap toys. I can't wait to see if Jopen toys are as amazing as they say.
