Do you prefer or avoid the videos that have the "nudity" warning "black screen"? Do you wish more product videos showed how some toys were actually used?

Or does it not matter either way? So long as many people "hide" their identity and are being discreet about who they are, but still have nudity in the video, I always wonder about the "tame" nature of these postings. Showing some "odd" shaped vibrator being rubbed up and down the tummy, or arm is nice and artistic, but simply doesn't show how the darn thing is supposed to actually be used! With everything else being so open and "free" on this site, I personally would not mind a bit more "real" use videos. Yes, they might be a tad more graphic and revealing, physically, but since we are talking about demo's of sex toys, I would think those demo's would convey much more information.

Of course, this is way easy for me to say, since I have never posted a video, so forgive me, if anyone thinks I am "dissing" the video's they make, since that is not in any way my intent. I seriously, sincerely, appreciate the amazing effort, time and artistry that you all put into posting videos and photos. I just personally wish some of these video's were a bit more "technically accurate" in showing the use of the product, if that makes sense.

Do you prefer, avoid, or don't care about the nudity in some product video's? Do you also wish that those video's were more open in showing the product in actual use?

I don't really watch videos. The technical review ones are usually too long for my ADD and the nude ones, as you say, don't really give me any idea of, well, anything. I don't think I'd like to see them in actual use though. That's a bit too porn-y for my tastes.

You can't show genitals because it's a legal thing. So, videos can't show how the product is used. Adult videos aren't really suppose to be informational. They are suppose to make you lust after the toy. Just like a commercial would make you lust after that product.

I love adult videos. I do them all the time.

I love the video reviews, I think that they can be so helpful when talking about the details of a product. For example, how soft or flexible is the silicone? That's hard to tell from a picture.
But I find that more often than not, the videos that have the nudity warning are just some half-naked person dragging the toy across their body. Sure, it's kind of fun to watch, but I guess I just don't get what the point is in the context of a toy review.

I don't really watch the video reviews but I don't think I'd want to see a video on this site of a toy actually being used in it's intended way. I guess if there were warnings and I could choose not to watch it that would be ok, though I really don't feel like this site is the place for those videos, at least not based on what I have seen since I've been frequenting it. The sort of artsy videos that you mention, of toys being rubbed across a tummy, don't help me in determining if a toy will be right for me. I almost feel like those should be product advertising videos, put out by the company, rather than the reviewers. I appreciate the honest reviews, the ones that tell me the true about a toy and what it does and doesn't do. Vidoes that show this are the most helpful, those that show how a toy moves, how flexible it is, what the size is compared to other items, give an idea of how loud it is, etc.

I like the video reviews, but yeah, if they were a little more explicit/informative then they would be better.

I would like something instructional about how to use individual vibes in positions possible. I'm new to adult toys & don't have the years of experience some have.

I prefer informative videos to adult ones personally, but I'll still watch the adult ones if they give me a better idea of how the product works/feels/etc in some way.

I don't care for the adult videos because they really don't show how the toy is used (as others have said, showing genitals is a no no, so really showing how a toy is used really can't be done all that well anyway). I just don't care for the videos anyway. Rubbing the toy across body parts, dancing with it, etc...yeah, I just find them rather stupid.

There's a (very) fine line between artistic nudity and pornography; the latter of the two being a matter of legality. If you ever have a question about a toy, don't hesitate to strike up a conversation with the reviewer or the manufacturer. I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer your questions.

I agree. I prefer the "technical" videos that show the toy and the functions.

It doesn't really bother me unless it goes over a line. Or if thats all it is, or if a boob shot is thrown in just for the hell of it. That kinda bugs me.

Well, here is a question: If someone wanted to make an "intructional" review video.. and post it on a different site and make it known in their review that said video is available.. would that be acceptable or is that still against da rules?

I don't specifically select product videos based on the nudity or not; I usually watch them to get a better idea of what size a toy is or to see it demonstrated.
