Do you think it's bad to use your EF gift cards all the time?

Huh, you know... after I placed my vote and read what you said, I think I agree with you.

I use mainly points to cover shipping since I'm in Canada, but I don't mine purchasing stuff since there's so much stuff I'm interested in.

This actually spurred me to get a buyout assignment! I used a $5 giftcard I had from graduated the mentor program and I used my own money! I feel like I gave a bit back to Eden when they give so much to me!

Now, for the order I'm planning for my points? I'm trying to at least cover the bulk of the cost of it. Usually it goes on sale for about $55 (about $15 less than list price), and if I have $50 of points, then woot! Then I only have so much out of pocket that I've spent I like the idea of using my points to cover most of the cost and then using a bit of my own money to keep the business going. Though, it's SUPER nice that if I wanted, I could use ALL my points for a purchase.

I usually do half points and half out of pocket but the points program is definitely generous to the users of eden

Exactly. I agree.

As long as you're truly earning them it should not matter.

I think the point system is amazing. Its what made me want to shop at the site because I'm rather poor.

I think as long as you put time and effort into your reviews ect. then I think it's ok to use those gift cards. =] You definitely earned it.

I think it's OK as long as you're making a genuine contribution.

I felt guilty about it too at first, but I've realized that the reviews and forum posts are a HUGE part of my decision to buy a new toy. Who knows how many toys my positive reviews or posts have sold? Hopefully enough to more than offset the cost to Eden to give me a gift card.
So yeah, go gift card crazy!

agreed. I by no means take advantage of it; I work hard on my video reviews I do for $25 GC and then now that i can do 1 assigned video/text review for higher or same amount a month, i save up points and will just make one huge order. i always save up points, do video reviews, text reviews etc. I am a stay at home mom w/ no income from myself other than being an affiliate here & survey website, so I have yet to make an out of pocket order on EF; i use gc's from videos, reviews etc. nothing wrong with it at all.

I do both. I've been amazed by how generous eden is and won't go anywhere else for this type of purchase because of it

The points system/gift cards/everything that EF so generously gives us accounts for a lot of my toy purchases, but I try to spend some actual money as well. I view eden as a valuable asset to the sex toy community and I would hate for them to go out of business. I also make sure to recommend them to all of my friends!

We're adding value to the site with our reviews and ratings of other people's reviews. I'm not so sure I feel the same about all the various things they give points out for, but obviously Eden thinks those activities are worth rewarding, and they know more about their business than we do.

I do feel bad using my points at times, but I've made a lot of big purchases here so I feel it's evening out.

It's extremely generous but they make a lotttt of bank! Don't be fooled, they want to give back to us or they wouldn't. You can use only your money you've earned if you want, I've made side purchases a lot, but a lot of their products are things that are experimental and that's just fine for you to try out with gift cards. When you write reviews or make videos, you're helping people view their website and their website pop up on search engines, therefore, you're giving back, even when you use those gift cards. Eden is smart for their business model.

not at all. it's one of the main appeals of EF. it is so customer friendly ad oriented. the review/mentor system is amazing and so informative, and the points are so generous and welcoming. i couldn't be happier to cash in my gift cards and i wouldn't mind paying some out of my pocket as well

I feel guilty for using all my points as well, but take advantage of it. They're there for a reason, and you've earned them.

I use the cards mainly because I would not be able to afford anything with out them. I have only a minimum amount of money I can spend each month. that does not go on bills and food and I would feel really bad spending it on a toy. so i justify it that way..

They give it to us, so why not use it any way we like? I'm not shy about getting stuff for free.

Yes. If the system didn't work for them, they'd change it.

nope not wrong at all. that's the only way i pay for stuff on here is from gift cards from my points, GC from video reviews or assigned video reviews. i have $17 in points now, so im saving em up to get something big

They give us the GC so we can use them, it's important to remember that avid point collectors and contributors are only a small portion of the site's users, there's a number of people who shop regularly on here and rarely make an effort to earn enough points to pay for everything, they drive the profits.
