Isn't it a gratifying feeling? I mean, so many times an item that we want is discontinued before we can get around to ordering it. It's nice to get one of the last ones for a change, which happened to me the other day.

That happened to me as well. Not to be a downer, but there was a reason that the item that I got one of the last was then discontinued... it was a very badly designed product. I bought it as a gift to boot!
When my partner used it and said this just isn't right, I tried it myself and I really found out how crappy it was.
I'm very glad EF discontinued it.

I'm newer to the site. How do you figure out it's discontinued and you that did it? Maybe someone came right behind you and bought it. Don't you have to go back to the item page to see if the shopping cart is greyed out? I would think the time it takes for you to go back there, could have been the open window for another shopper to buy the last and you wouldn't know exactly who bought the last one.

It's a little disconcerting, I think, when I've ordered something, and the next time I look online, it's discontinued. It makes me wonder what was wrong with the item!

This has happened to me several times. Several months ago a bought 2 pieces of lingerie for bridal showers and apparently got the last of each. Last week I got the last life raft from Perfect Position. I had my eye on it for a long time and am really glad I nabbed it.

I have a couple of toys that were being sold and then discontinued. I bought them way before though. I was excited about making a purchase today. Within the few hours the item was in stock, it was out again! I'm still doing a little dance about it. lol

That happened to me last week and I was freaking out at first then called the next day and felt satisfied when the guy told me I got the last one. I was so excited and explained what happened to me the last time I tried to order something and it discontinued and I did not get it. He told me I was funny. I thought that was cute. I was so stoked.

It's happened to me before. I tend to jump on items I want if they are on clearance now since there have been quite a few items that I've wanted but were discontinued before I could get to them.

Ugh, yes! But then I get caught up thinking, 'wait, it's a 3 - 5 year old model, what if there's a new one coming out? Or what if there's problems with the electronics/battery because it's old?'
