How important is packaging when you're deciding to purchase a toy?

I love it when toys come in nice packaging and especially something I can store the toy in but if I like the toy I'll buy it even if it doesn't. How do you feel?

it's not that important. one thing to keep in mind is that very nice packaging does add to the product's price.

I personally place no value on the product packaging. I can understand that some people may prefer a fancy box, but not me. It's just more cost and waste for me to deal with.

I actually prefer very minimal packaging. Happy Valley packages their toys in a clear plastic bag stapled closed with a piece of card stock. SSA Glass toys come simply wrapped in a small piece of bubble wrap inside the included storage bag. Perfect!

Not very, since I don't find out about it till after I've bought the toy. Even if a review states that it's not good packaging, I still don't care much. I want it to work and do its job.

Unless it comes with a storage bag or something the packaging doesn't matter much to me since they will be stored in our Toy box.

I don't have the storage space to keep all the packages anyway so it doesn't matter to me.

Depends on the toy, I would like to see all glass dildos packaged with a pouch. I usually store my toys in mu toy Che's set of drawers. I do keep some for the extra adapters and such like OhMeBod G provides. I do keep all my packaging anyway in case of returns, especially Jopen and Lelo. A good box does help when returning toys and so far it's only been one for me.

Packaging isn't important to me. I'd rather not pay extra for a fancy package. Although it's nice when the packaging isn't too bulky and nice for storage.

It's not very important to me, but it's kind of nice.

Pretty important to me, I've been swayed a few times to buy more expensive items because the packaging is better. I'm mostly talking about practical packaging (like Zini's and Close2u's), it's worth it to get a high grade toy, plus something to store it and other toys in! Plus, as an artist myself, I have a huge appreciation for great packaging design

I prefer discrete packaging that can double as the toys storage case.

I really like nice packaging that can be used for storage. But the quality and performance of a toy is a lot more important to me.

Most often it goes in the trash for me anyway, so I don't care about packaging.

I love when it brings a storage bag but after that I dont need nice packaging.

Above a certain price bracket, it's pretty important to me. I also really hate the idea of throwing away all sorts of plastic and paper packaging, which isn't very green. The simple solution is just to design it to be kept, which isn't hard.

Packaging doesn't at all influence my decision to buy a toy, unless I know that it's packaged so poorly that it might be damaged during shipping.
If it's just a matter of not coming in a pretty box, I don't really care. I can come up with my own storage, so that's not really an issue.

It's not important to me, although it's a bonus when something has its own storage.

It doesn't really matter to me as long as it is enjoyable to use.

I like it to be minimal, because unless it's tiny and good for storage it's getting thrown away anyway.

Not important. It's nice in some cases, but if you have a lot of toys, they begin to take up space anyway, so the toy is first and foremost.

I didn't think it was important when all the toys my woman and I got came in clam-shell packaging, but the boxes Lelo has are pretty cool looking, discreet and useful for storage as long as you have the space to save them.

It's not important to me. The package the toy comes in via the mail is always discreet, so I don't care what the actual toy packages look like. It's not like I wave the boxes around or anything.
