I depends on the toy, really. For dildos and phallic toys, I tend to like a flesh (any color) or black color, rather than pink or purple. Sometimes a "non realistic" toy will pop up in a bright shade, like neon green or bright red or blue and that catches my eye.

I don't really have color preferences, as long as it's not something butt-ugly.
I do try to get toys in lots of different colors though. For example, I recently bought the Share. I grabbed it in black, because I didn't have any black toys yet.
