I've created a bunch of affiliate widgets to use for a specific purpose, and I find myself losing track of which is which, and remaking affiliate widgets. I'd love it if we could give them specific names, which I could use to correspond to the pages on my own site, in order to not get confused.

I probably have twice the number created than what I strictly need, just because it's easier to make a new one than to click on two dozen to find the one with the types of products I need.

Suggestions?

Hi ToyGeek,
I think this is a good idea. Right now the only way to identify affiliate widgets is by their ID #, which is just a unique number associated with the widget and doesn't have to do with the products in it. I will suggest that a naming feature be implemented.

For now, if you have easy access to the widgets you've already displayed on your blog or elsewhere, perhaps the Clone It feature (which is available on the Image Map and Flash Version #1 types of widgets) can help with quick-copying. Thanks for bringing this up. I'll update this thread with any news on the widget naming venture.

This would be great! I created some themed widgets as well, and finding the one I want is pretty annoying.

I like that idea cause I have found the same. I can't keep track of which ones on Eden, are used on my blog so I don't want to go deleting any but I also don't like keeping ones I just won't use. They are cluttering up my widget section...hehehe

Being able to name the widgest would be fantastic. Would make it a lot easier trying to add or remove items from the widgets.
