Comment area- Spelling error?

Contributor: Beautiful Dreamer Beautiful Dreamer
So the upside down comments are driving me slightly crazy (having to scroll up to read the comment, scroll down to answer, scroll back up to make sure I gave a thorough answer).
And now I get flagged with every comment because the spell checker doesn't like most toy or sex related words.

Is there a way we can turn off the spell checker? I just left a ton of comments, thought they took, but then realized they hadn't as I forgot to check the ignore spelling box before moving on. I know most people don't leave a large amount of comments in a day, but when I have time, I really like to.

Thanks!

Same problem for me. I usually close the tab right after I comment, and so a lot of my comments aren't going through now.

The spell checker validation will be turned off although all misspelled words will be still marked. The new comment order was experimental, we will restore old way on review pages.

New spell checker in the works? Can we say the current one sucks?

THIS is why the forums are so important! Thank you all for the feedback - it is so helpful to know what our members want / don't want, love / hate etc...I love to see democracy in action this way. It's great that we can get a timely consensus and change things accordingly. Thanks again for being so communicative!

What's good is seeing red underlining under the misspelled words. I think it might be Firefox doing mine, but that is certainly enough for me.

Thank goodness! I was going to start a thread about this but saw Beautiful Dreamer beat me to it The newest comments at the top and the comment box at the bottom really is inconvenient, especially on reviews that have a lot of comments. I am very very thankful that it will be changed back as I've actually been avoiding leaving comments because of it.

When is this going to be turned off?? I keep forgetting about it and closing the tabs, only to realize I probably "misspelled" something and the comment didn't go through.

*Bump*. I just had roughly 8 comments not left because the spell checker is still making me click the box.

Yep, it's still there. I like that it underlines things in red, but it really annoys me that half of the words are sex-related.

Am I really spelling kegel wrong? I will feel like a total ass if I've been spelling it wrong for so long.

Nope. That how my textbook spells it. I have to look up Phthalate every freaking time. Microsoft word recognizes it though, which is helpful.

LOL! I'm a huge fan of MS word. I'll be writing a letter and I'll just pull up Word to make sure I'm spelling things right.

The comment field at the bottom, with the reverse order comments, actually makes me want to respond to my reviews a lot less, they're so annoying. :/ IS this going to be 'fixed', or is this just something we need to get over, and get used to?
