I have made many that weren't sexual related. Eden is more then just sexual and relationship stuff If you make polls and discussions try doing a search to make sure the topic hasn't already been posted though (:

Nope, certainly not! There are plenty of polls in the "Social" forum about people's favorite books, recipes, and a whole host of other non-sexual things.
