List of Materials should include Lubes and common ingredients.

I really like the list of materials we have, but I think it would be useful to add a list of lubes and their usual ingredients, such as water/silione/oil based overviews. And then adding in pages on glycerine, parabens, L-arginine, etc., because a lot of these ingredients don't have a lot of information listed in this site. I think it should cover common ingredients people may have sensitivities to, or may want to avoid.

I think that listing information on the most common ingredients (parabens, glycerine) would be nice, but every lubricant page I've seen has had their ingredients listed, so maybe I'm unclear on the point of having the usual ingredients of water/silicone/oil based lubes?

I think what she's looking for is something like the material pages, where you can click on the material and get more information on it. Something like a single page that would be like a cross between the sizing guide page and the material page where it's all on one page but clicking "water based" takes you to the section of the page with common ingredients of water based lubes that people can be sensitive to and then why they cause sensitivities or something like that?

I hope that made sense, otherwise I can try to re-explain, lol

Kinda? I haven't had coffee yet so maybe I'm being a bit dim.

I think I get it; that would be cool.

I also (while we're on the subject of things related to lube pages that are cool) I think that being able to sort lubes by material would be fabulous because then people allergic to glycerin or red dye #5 or whatever could tune out.

Having something like the materials pages for lubes would be good.

I went on a bit of a tangent, basically it sounds like having a material page, but for lubes. Something that says "these products are common ingredients in this lube base and can cause these problems in the body" with a disclaimer that all bodies are different and ect.

It can be set up in the same format as the Material page, listing different common ingredients people usually keep an eye out for.

When I first came to EF, and started looking at the ingredients in the lubes, it took me a while to figure out why something that is such-and-such-free was better than something that had it. I had hoped the site would have a good list of them or information about these chemicals. For example:

Glycerine

Commonly found in: Water-based and flavored lubes.

Precautions: Glycerine is a type of sugar that should be avoided by those who are prone to yeast infections.

Sensitivity Index: (High-Medium-Low)

It would also help people with reviews, as it is suggested to add in any allergy precautions. Those of us who don't have allergies or sensitivities may be clueless about what ingredients may cause reactions.

I've done a lot of personal research on these ingredients, and have found a lot of good information spread across the web. For example, Can I get a yeast infection from lube? fully explained how glycerine isn't going to give you a yeast infection if you use lubes with it, but it may make a yeast infection worse.

I could even help with putting together these pages.
