Pile of Loot Shipping?

Contributor: ToyGeek ToyGeek
There's an online shop I frequent that offers a feature called 'pile of loot' and I think it would be fantastic here. Basically, the idea is that regular customers can buy and pay for products whenever they please, but then trigger the shipping at a time most convenient for them.

For example, say I really wanted to take advantage of a Thursday sale, but according to the shipping calculator, that would land a box on my doorstep while seventeen people were home -- I could pay for my order, but schedule the shipping for Tuesday, or a week from next Saturday, or whatever, landing it here on a more convenient date.

Alternately, one could place a number of small orders, but hold them all for one big shipment, for purposes of budgeting, or general sneakiness.

Here's the site where I stole the idea: link

That would be pretty cool, and I could see how it could be useful.

Just in case you didn't know though, Eden's boxes are incredibly discreet, I get them all the time and there is nothing on the packaging that would indicate it's anything "naughty" in there.

I can't imagine what a logistical nightmare that would create! Or maybe it would solve it. It's an interesting idea though...

My letter carrier doesn't have a clue what I get delivered all the time, I know this because "SOMEONE" reported me for possibly running a business out of my home. Problem for her was I am in an area outside the zoning laws...so pfffffft!
At any rate if your delivery person can't recognize sex toys none of your guests will, though they will be curious and possibly rude about it if they are like my family! I just flat out tell them that these are my butt plugs I have been waiting for...suddenly they would rather be doing ANYTHING else! *evil grin

Wow, I could see the usefulness of it, but I can also see the logistical nightmare...

The arrival of any box is met with drama in my household -- what did you order, why did you need it, how much did it cost, could it have been cheaper somewhere else, did you really need it, blah blah blah. I schedule the arrival of action figures, novels, comic books, dvds, etc., to arrive on clear days, just to save myself the hassle.

The arrival of actually 'naughty' things stresses me out so much I don't enjoy it, so this would really minimize that sort of grief for me.
