Shipping Problems

Contributor: JustYourAverageGuy JustYourAverageGuy
I recently ordered a lot of toys off of the site and was delighted to see that I qualified for free overnight shipping. I thought, "Wow I can have this tomorrow night! Awesome!"

Unfortunately my package hit :adverse weather conditions and originally flew from NJ to KY, then back to NJ, then Back to KY, then to CO where I live. It is currently sitting in some warehouse here in CO and they don't deliver on Sundays. So my overnight shipping turned into 4 day shipping. FRUSTRATING!

Luckily I didn't pay for the expedited shipping due to it being free on EF. I won't be using UPS anymore though, that is for sure.

Has anyone else had a similar situation happen to them? I just want my toys! GRRR

I had the exact same thing this week. Must have been a glitch in KY cuz mine went back and forth, too. I must be closer than you, though, to NJ cuz while I was expecting it to come Monday, it was special delivered today.

I was ecstatic.

It's frustrating, though, even when you don't pay for shipping, to have things like this happen. I really loathe UPS.

I have more trouble with FedEx and USPS. Sometimes our post office will let packages sit in the office for a few days.

I live an hour south of KY and there was ice, and a lot of it in some places. I have issues with packages being delivered even with USPS. They shut down everything...freeways for example...when there is snow over here. It is really stupid to be honest.

Yeah. It is more common for USP/FedEx to not come by than the mailman.

I did a little experiment a couple weeks back. I ordered twice on the same day [within minutes of each other]. The first I shipped with UPS the other, USPS. I got the post office shipment on Saturday, and the UPS one on Monday. I was scheduled for both on Saturday. So now I always go with USPS when I can.

Yes, and watch the news... have you seen all that snow? lol.... I assume maybe the overnight air was canceled? I don't know, but it happened to me Friday, but they had my package to me on Saturday. Nice!

USPS Priority Mail is the best shipping method.

I have no opinion either way at the moment on who provides a better service, however, there has been All-Time snow records for a lot of the North East and snow, from extremely light to extremely heavy has been falling a few times each week for almost a month.

It is possible that other places have been experiencing crazy weather as well, and have been knocked off balance by this weather. Just something to consider.

I understand the whole weather thing, I just can't believe my package sat in a warehouse for 2 days about 3 miles down the street from me and I was not able to simply pick it up.

Good news though... I did receive my package today.
