why are the boxes everything comes in so big compared to the size of your item??

Seriously does anyone else get boxes that are 4 times the size of your product?
its not even that its a large box but theyre also oddly shaped.

Wouldn't an overly large box cost more for eden to ship? (even tho its only charging us flat rates)
plus Itd be more convenient to get a smaller box than the obnoxious ones.

I just feel like eden could save money on that? unless they have some weird deal worked out with the shipping companies.

does anyone have any information on this?

Retailers usually have good deals worked out with their freight carriers such as UPS; and USPS Priority Mail boxes are flat rated, so as long as they use box sizes that are under the criteria, they won't be charged extra.

What's pretty amazing about the packing and shipping industry and the line of products available is that, the smaller the box the more expensive it is to purchase. There's more cutting and wasted material involved during production. The boxes used at Eden are the most economical choices when given all of the options and the white boxes are provided by the United States Postal Service as part of the shipping program we have with them and there is a limited selection of sizes based on their own criteria for delivery.
