Funny you ask because I am going to Mexico soon and need to brush up on my Spanish!

After 3 years in high school and a year in undergrad I can manage to hold some basic conversations and that's about it.

It took me a few seconds to remember no hablo espanol. Dora would have to be my main informer on Spanish. I took 2 semesters and knew it at the time, but never went any further than a couple sentences.

If I had kept practicing, I would be able to answer that I can write it and read it fairly well but I cannot speak it to save my life. I get tongue-tied and words come out sounding terribly, terribly wrong.

Sadly, no. I know a few words but I didn't take Spanish in high school. I took German. I'm hoping that eventually I'll become more fluent in Spanish however.

Well I'm puerto rican and also took 2 years spanish in Highschool but my Spanish has gotten worse. If you don't use it, you lose it! I get tongue tied when I try to speak it but I can understand most of it, if heard or read.

Even though I took four years in high school, it kind of sucks because I grew up in the midwest, where even in class people usually aren't pronouncing things correctly, so it's hard to learn in that environment.

I did take Spanish in junior high but unfortunately I wasn't really motivated to learn, and quite honestly the teacher was horrible in that class.
