Contributor: Forum Moderator Forum Moderator

We, at EdenFantasys, have created these Expectations of Conduct to provide a welcoming, safe, sex-positive community for all community members to enjoy. We love our community and want to protect everyone participating in it. Please respect these rules and guidelines to help us keep EdenFantasys a safe and open place for all. We greatly value the exchange of information and ideas, and look forward to learning and sharing together.

Expectations of Conduct:

Open discussions and opinions are welcome. We strongly support freedom of speech, but do not support negative or hurtful behavior. Debates and disagreements are a part of the territory, but we expect members to conduct themselves in a mature and respectful manner. We will not tolerate bullying, deliberate provocation, or disrespect. This includes insinuations and threats of action that may take place outside of the EdenFantasys community.

Defamation of individuals, EdenFantasys, or other companies is not tolerated. This includes accusations, speculations, and sweeping generalizations that can be hurtful. This is an information sharing resource, not a rumor-mill - Let's be factual and fair.

Any homophobic, racist, or otherwise hateful behavior will result in immediate banning from the community. Additionally, any content that sexualizes children or animals will result in an immediate ban. Hatred, abuse, and illegal activities have no place in our community.

EdenFantasys works hard to maintain the positive attitude and safe haven that make the EdenFantasys community such an open and welcoming place. When an EdenFantasys employee steps in to mediate a concern or disagreement, it is a cue that everyone needs to take a step back, calm down, and discuss the matter in a more rational matter. We prefer to mediate rather than close or delete threads; however, there may be circumstances where that is necessary.

We reserve the right to remove threads that do not serve a constructive and positive purpose.

We also reserve the right to replace a graphic (nudity) or copyrighted image avatar with a default image. If you have any questions if an avatar is appropriate or not, ask an Admin.

24-Hour Rule:

Additionally, EdenFantasys will employ the 24-Hour Rule on an as-needed basis. The 24-Hour Rule provides members who are involved in a heated dispute or situation with the opportunity to take 24 hours to cool off.

Once the 24-Hour Rule has been called, the thread is closed for 24 hours to give members a chance to step back and look at the thread again with a clearer mind. What was once a heated argument may become a simple disagreement or misunderstanding once some time has passed.

Anyone can call the 24-Hour Rule. Community members can email the moderator to request the temporary closing of a thread for the 24-Hour Rule. Explaining your request will speed up the process and help establish the grounds for implementation.

Flagging:

"Report Abuse" flags are present on most interactive parts of EdenFantasys.com to allow members to privately report activities they feel to be against the EoC. Flags should be used sparingly. Flagging a comment is private and only between the reporting contributor and EdenFantasys.

Because most issues can be solved by messaging the moderator either with an on-site message or email moderator@edenfantasys.com, we recommend that you save your flags for truly over-the-top offensive comments, posts, or spam. Once a flag has been placed on something, no more are needed. The message has been sent to the Forum Moderator and the President of the company.

The EdenFantasys Moderator actively investigates any flagged comment or post. If it is determined that the flagged member did something against the EoC, they will be contacted and allowed to make amends or be issued a warning depending on the situation. If it is determined that the flagging was retaliatory and/or unsupported, the flagging member will be contacted and allowed to make amends or be issued a warning depending on the situation. A member who is consistently and validly flagged will be issued an official warning. The same applies to those who consistently issue flags that have been determined to be retaliatory and/or unsupported.

Consequences:

Community members who violate the Expectations of Conduct will be subject to disciplinary actions. Penalties have been put into place in order to ensure that all members treat each other and the community as a whole with consideration and respect.

An official warning may be given to a contributor who has numerous complaints against them, even if none of their posts or threads has been flagged. Three warnings will result in a one-month suspension from EdenFantasys. After the first suspension, any further incidents can result in permanent banning..

There are some actions that can result in immediate suspension or banning: defamation, bullying, threatening, spam content, fake/spam reviews, and plagiarism. These will be decided on a case by case basis. Depending on the activities in question, we reserve the right to temporarily disable your account pending your response to an e-mail from us to prevent further abuse from occurring. You will also be issued an official warning and that will remain in effect even after your account has been reinstated.

Spam content includes posts, threads, comments on reviews, product pages, and anywhere else content can be added that adds nothing to the topic - For example, “nice review” on a forum thread.

At EdenFantasys, we define plagiarism as, “duplication of information, in total or in parts, that is presented as original work”. While you can use other sources for information, you must somehow cite that it is not your original work. If we find plagiarism in a review, the review will be unpublished and your account may be disabled. This is determined on a case-by-case situation

In addition to spam, links to competitors' sites and outside affiliate links are prohibited. When found, the links will be broken or removed and a warning will be issued.

Point Farming:

Activities just to earn EdenPoints, that have no value to the community, are considered “Point Farming”. The following examples of point farming are not exclusive; the Forum Moderator can determine when other activities could be considered point farming. Some examples of point farming are:

- 01: Repeated following and un-following of manufacturers and contributors.

- 02: Posting emoticons as comments or forum posts.

- 03: Numerous threads and posts being created that offer nothing of value to the forums. While we do encourage questions about products being asked on the forums, we ask that the questions first be researched on the website for an answer and then asked via the forums if a satisfactory answer was not found.

- 04: Uploading several videos to EdenTube that are irrelevant to EdenFantasys.

- 05: Posting multiple forum threads sequentially. It’s one thing to have a question; it’s another to post the same question five different ways on different threads.

When investigating EdenPoint abuse, we consider all activity, not just occasional out of place actions. If you are doing nothing wrong, then you have nothing to worry about. If you have any questions, you can always contact us.

Multiple Accounts:

There have been numerous cases of contributors creating multiple accounts to abuse or exploit many of the programs and privileges on the site. We take these offenses very seriously and definite action will be taken in every case. The accounts will be disabled, and the IP addresses will be blocked. This is a lose-lose situation. Creating multiple accounts is dishonest; it undermines the entire purpose of the community.

Forum Moderation:

As our community grows, the needs of our community change. Part of maintaining a healthy balance of growth and activity is Forum Moderation. We are now introducing a new direction of moderation which will continue to adapt and expand with our ever changing community.

For higher visibility and easier identification, we are now going to be using a dedicated Forum Moderator profile. This will eliminate any confusion over whom to contact about problems. The Eden Team will collectively use this Moderator account - and the decisions made by this account are the final decisions made by EdenFantasys.

This new Forum Moderator account will investigate, handle, and issue warnings and disciplinary actions. It’s not all negative either; in the very near future this Forum Moderator account will be issuing praise and rewards (e.g. EdenPoints) applied directly to contributor’s accounts who show community leadership and really embrace the inclusive atmosphere of EdenFantasys.

EdenFantasys strives to maintain a sex-positive community that welcomes all genders, races, religions, creeds, etc. - EVERYONE. These expectations are for every person who participates anywhere on the EdenFantasys website. The Expectation of Conduct (EoC) has been created to ensure that discussions and comments are respectful, productive, and relevant to EdenFantasys. We are a community, here to support and help one another via our forums, review comment areas, and system messages. This is a “living document” and may be altered, changed, or updated with or without notice.

Everyone please, chime in with your thoughts and opinions. All the sections were posted individually to make it easier for you to all comment on specific areas. (None of the changes will count towards past actions.)

This is the first step in a new direction for all of us.

I wish there was just one post that also just high-lighted the newest changes. I think I caught some, but I'm sure I probably missed some too.

"We also reserve the right to replace a graphic (nudity) or copyrighted image avatar with a default image. If you have any questions if an avatar is appropriate or not, ask an Admin." I am especially pleased with this

The rest is very fair. The new forum moderation account is cool and I look forward to that positive change!

Thanks guys.

I think this sounds great! It is a step in the right direction. I am looking forward to see what is going to happen from this. The idea to share the account is really cool too. I also agree with Lauren, some how highlighting what is new would be really nice.

To be honest, we had tons of notes, ripped everything apart, did some re-writes and then put it all back together. So I would say it's all pretty fresh right now. We did add some totally new stuff, but we also changed some of the old stuff, reworded, clarified, omitted, and expanded upon. We really hope it makes things easier for everyone!

This is wonderful. I really like that y'all are changing and growing as needed. A lot of communities don't do this and soon become so out of control that it is ridiculous. I really appreciate y'all making an announcement out of this too.

Also, while reading this, I came to a realization! I had some one following/unfollowing me for points!

This is really great and really in my opinion explains everything clearly I also love the idea of getting points for being positive and doing the right thing its seldom that people use positive reinforcement, its nice to see it done here!

The EF team really rocked this out.

In no way could this have been easy. We were all pulling at them in different directions, asking for different solutions for SO MANY different issues.

I'm excited to see how the implementation goes down.

Stay golden, guys!

Looks really great from here!

There was only one thing I was a little concerned about,

"Spam content includes posts, threads, comments on reviews, product pages, and anywhere else content can be added that adds nothing to the topic - For example, “nice review” on a forum thread. "

In that specific example, if somebody's new to the site and they actually did read the review, but scrolled too far down the review page, there's a place where it's easy to accidentally make a reply to a thread instead of to the review.

But then I saw this part

"When investigating EdenPoint abuse, we consider all activity, not just occasional out of place actions. If you are doing nothing wrong, then you have nothing to worry about. If you have any questions, you can always contact us."

So everything looks beautiful and wonderful, great work guys! Yay for changing as you grow

This is no place for petty differences and immature actions. GREAT JOB TO THE PROFESSIONALS THAT ARE IN CHARGE OF TAKING CARE OF THIS WEBSITE. I am a mature adult and enjoy my time here and don't want it disrupted by children. Thank You, EF.

I'm really pleased with this. I just hope it never discourages the right people from being active, I don't really see that happening though. I think this is a positive decision and direction for EF, LOVE it!

If you know you're doing "right", you never have anything to fear and those contributors who really add value will be rewarded in their own right. Plus, we'll always give you the chance to explain your side of the story.
