#EdenUpdate - Code of Conduct updates

Contributor: El-Jaro El-Jaro
Dear Community,
In an effort to keep moving forward and upgrading, we’ve updated our Code of Conduct to reflect a more positive environment on EdenFantasys.com.

Recently, we’ve found a couple areas that we needed to elaborate on. We’ve added a 24 hour Rule. This option allows a member to let us know when you find the topic is getting too hot and those involved should take a breather for a day and come back to it later.

We’re changing the way the flagging system works as well. Soon all flags will be anonymous to everyone but the flagger and the admins. We hope that this will enable more people to speak out without fear of retribution. We’ll let you know when this goes live.

If you have any questions, you can email moderator@edenfantasys .com or post below.

Thank you!

Excellent. I always thought that the flagging system didn't work the best that it could, unless it was anonymous.

I actually don't even mind if the person whose post is flagged knows that I flagged it, because I would want to work it out and explain, but I wouldn't want the entire community to know because some issues are personal and making them public just causes unnecessary drama.

And that's just the reason for making it solely for the people involved.

Everything there sounds fair and reasonable, and I think making the flagging anonymous to the public will be a great help in making sure people know that they won't get called out for flagging something they find offensive.

We want people to feel heard, to feel safe, and we want to show that we take respectful behavior seriously - so hopefully these new measures will aid us in making things better foe everyone here.

This is really awesome; I love that we've given folks more options to feel comfortable and safe and put up some firmer boundaries and solid repercussions at the same time.

Yay us!
