Internet Explorer issues (ie9 and mobile)

One thing I've noticed is that EF has a number of issues whenever I try to us it on Internet Explorer. I haven't tested ie8 on the pc, but I do know that I couldn't get the login link to work on ie9. After clicking login with my ef account, the popup window would flash, before the site refreshed into an entirely blank page.

The version of Internet Explorer on Windows Phone 7, which is a hybrid between ie8 and ie9, has some of the same problems as well. Logging in is more or less identically impossible on it, but it also has the problem of constantly refreshing most pages, making browsing difficult.

So, has anyone had any of these issues with their versions of ie? It hasn't bothered me much, because I normally use Chrome, but internet explorer still holds a fairly decent chunk of the browser market. I don't think I've had any of these issues on other websites with internet explorer, so I thought I'd post it here and let EF know about it.

I used IE9 for a free month of Slacker radio and regretted it. I still haven't figured out how to uninstall it and it's been messing with my settings on my other browsers.

I've actually had the same log in issue with Firefox. I don't know if I just cleared cookies and such but it didn't last forever.

I don't think you can uninstall Internet Explorer, since it's a pretty big point of the os for Microsoft. That said, you can turn it off. If you're on Vista/7, you can go to the Uninstall a Program dialog and there should be an option called "Turn Windows Features on or off." If you open that up, there should be a checkbox somewhere for ie9. That might help there.

I'm having the same issue with Firefox, too.

No problem, JR. I'm quite the techie and can troubleshoot my way through most issues with PC's.

And since there's at least two people who've had the issue in Firefox, it leads me to believe it's definitely not an IE bug. The easiest fix I can think of (excluding the constant full page refresh problem) would be to include a separate log in page, aside from just the default pop up. I believe there's one currently, but I've only navigated to it once...on accident.
