I am totally game for this!! And I am a babysitter so my hours vary and are rather flexible. For example this week I'm available Tomorrow till like 2pm then again from 7 or 8pm till midnight, then I'm free all day Thursday, and from 5pm to whenever on friday, and all weekend. I know what days I work a month at a time, and I can be available while I babysit b/c the kids are either taking a nap from 1-3:30pm or at school from 8-2pm.

And as far as the profile pic goes I'm all for it. My pic now is of me anyways; all I have to do is take a better one of my face w/o my sunglasses on. So I'm game.

And I don't care if how I'm compensated both ways are just fime with me, I mean I am probably going to end up spending on here anyways lol. I hope I will be able to participate in this program once it's up and running!!

You bring up a really great idea. I think it would be useful for shoppers to have the ability to choose the gender/orientation of their personal shopper if they want to. That doesn't mean personal shoppers have to provide that information, but those that do can be paired with those seeking a certain kind of perspective and experience. For example, a lesbian couple may want to speak with another lesbian in a relationship. It's a matter of experience but also comfort. Another lesbian couple may not care who helps them shop, as long as they know their stuff.

The only problem with that is those who don't really like to identify as anything. I mean, I'm "bisexual", and I do have sex with men as well as women, so I could assist a lesbian couple or a straight man buying things for his girlfriend/wife.

When you start to define things like that it gets really tricky. I think that the gender thing might work, but the sexuality thing isn't really necessary. You could just add that you have experience with "harnesses" or "gender play" toys.

If the "area of interest" idea is pursued, perhaps you could create a directory listing of participants and areas that they are comfortable helping in. That way a customer could also message that person in case their schedules do not overlap and allow for real time assistance.

Ok, just want to address something here that I saw mentioned a number of times.

Assisting most customers, will be simple enough for anyone familiar with the site. I would imagine that all of you know where to look for things, know what's available as far material safety pages, ratings, reviews, promos, etc., and then you all have at least some personal product experience. This should be plenty for most customers.

Of course, having a team of product specialists in many categories, available 24/7 to answer any question imaginable would be great... but I have a feeling we will probably start out pretty simple, and expand gradually based on the programs activity.

i agree, this is a very exciting venture.

If/when you decide to slide into the "24/7" time frame, Alan & I are up 'til about 4am EST, in addition to the times we already marked in the survey.

OMG! Sign me up now! This sounds like a dream come true for me! I love interacting with people, helping people, and customer service-type work has always been my forte, particularly helping people decide what they REALLY want. How exciting that your possibly adding this. Hell, I'd do this 8 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Oh, yes, like others, I'm interested in what the requirements would be in terms of number of reviews, whether or not you're an advanced reviewer, rank, etc. I think my rank & number of reviews are quite disproportionate to my level of knowledge.

What if you do other sutff on Eden or work in some capacity as a freelancer? What if you have the knowledge in abundance but just aren't great at cranking out the reviews? What if something like this is much more suited to your skill set than writing reviews? I'm not totally in disagreement, but I also think perhaps a knowledge test of products, materials, lube compatability, and so on and so forth would be appropriate too.

I'm the opposite. I like the idea of a set schedule but I'm open to either way of doing it. Basically, as far as this program is concerned, whatever the parameters end up being, if I were to be chosen to participate, I'd make it work, regardless of said parameters.

This sounds like a great idea, and I would be interested in it. I work all night during the week (at work right now), and typically keep pretty nocturnal hours on the weekends when I'm not working as well. I bring a laptop in to work with me, and have a quiet job, so the 12am-6am hours would best for weekdays. I work in a call center environment, and although calls are very rare in those hours, once in a while one does pop up. Weekends, it doesn't really matter so much.

I just think there should be some sort of minimum requirements, a knowledge test, or something like that. It would be good if we held a high standard for this.

That's true, actually. Quality control is important! Maybe there could be a training of some kind, like a set of questions that help navigate the discussion towards something useful. Tools for those who are doing customer service are helpful. They can aid in bridging knowledge gaps for contributors as well as reminding them of the larger picture in terms of different kinds of sex toys.
