Anal sex and IBS - how do you manage it?

Contributor: Jake'n'bake Jake'n'bake
I looked through all the pages to see if there was a thread on this and I only found one that was more about dealing with IBS itself and not how to do anal WITH IBS.

Is there a way to make it more comfortable for someone with IBS? More lube, less lube, bigger things, smaller things, slower, faster, etc?

Any advice would be nice, especially from a female perspective; I already manage the condition fine, but anal is still something that isn't that easy for me. It doesn't feel good ( most of the time ) and usually ends up with an upset stomach, and the act of penetration just feels like I have to take a massive bathroom break unless I get really lucky.

I don't have IBS, but I do sometimes get constipated or bloated, and I'll simply skip anal sex when I'm in those conditions. When your body is feeling lousy, why force yourself to have anal sex?
