So I really want to be able to DP with my partner and a toy but I'm not sure I'll be able to. I've tried inserting a toy vaginally while he was already inserted anally and I could do it but he said he could feel it anally and it hurt, there wasn't enough room left for him. The toy I was using was not very thick (4.5 inches around at it's thickest) and it was silicone so it was flexible. Is there anyway that I could stretch myself out more to be able to do this or any positions you would suggest or is my anatomy just not big enough to ever do it?

You can't "stretch" yourself permanently. But, when aroused the vagina does expand and open more and you can work with it. I have very little room in my pelvis, (I have a contracted android pelvis and cannot even give birth vaginally doing all the right things) but we can DP with a vaginal toy and him in the back door. The more aroused you are, the better. I have to have an orgasm before I can have anal sex. Maybe that would help you relax and "loosen" things up temporarily. But, your body will always go back to the way it was after a short period of time.
We had to work up to it, but I found anal sex easier with something vaginally placed. It just works better for me.
Have you tried putting a slim vibe or dildo in vaginally first then lube up and gently try with him? Even with a lot of experience, I would say it takes several minutes of thrusting before My Man can get in anally even now. He is just really gentle at first and barely makes any penetration and it happens gradually.

Your anatomy sounds like mine! I agree with P'Gell have whatever inserted vaginally first and then insert the anally. I find it best to have my partner be vaginal and a dildo to be use anally. I found that out last night, I purchased larger anal beads and there was no way my husband was getting in vaginally and it was quite uncomfortable

I only do DP using my anal plug because it makes me super sensitive, and doesn't get in the way when my husband's taking me vaginally.
