You can go either way. As has been said there are some positions that enhance the intimacy of it, as does going slow and having plenty of foreplay (Hint! Guys! Make sure she gets off once before you start the butt-stuff).

You can also do it hard, raunchy and submissive, but it's better to do that later after you're experienced. The anus/rectum is more delicate than the vagina, so both need to know what you're doing.

Good answer. I'll ad that since women can feel the entire cock penetrating them, it's far more intimate even if you're not facing them.

But the comments that it's not intimate because it's submissive? Being submissive is very intimate. What's more intimate than lending enough trust over to someone else to have their way with you?

And it doesn't have to be submissive. No sex has to be submissive, though it can sometimes be fun that way.
