This is an interesting question. A man's orgasm is primarily due to the stimulation of the prostate. Women don't have a prostate, so it would seem easy to say
no prostate = no anal orgasm
The thing is, my partner has orgasmed from anal stimulation. This is probably due to g-spot stimulation through the anal wall, but it does happen during anal sex, so I would call it an anal orgasm. So, even though this isn't a poll, I am going to vote yes.

Depends on what you consider an "anal orgasm". Women definitely can have anally-triggered orgasms, and considering that the Skene's glands have been rechristened the "female prostate" in some literature then they can have a "prostate orgasm" (though it's harder to trigger this from anal activities then it is in a man).

The rare, pure "anal orgasm" that seems to appear from time to time should be equally available to women and men as well.

I can't orgasm from anal alone but with clitoral stimulation, the orgasms are fabulous!

I have orgasmed from anal before. Only once was it from pure anal with no clitoral stimulation. Most of the time I play with my clit at the same time so it could be argued that it wasn't just from anal that I orgasmed those times.

I have the best orgasams from anal. Generally when we are facing each other so there is some clitoral stimulation there, but I think most of it is the anal and the feeling I get when he is thrusting in and out.

Looking at many reports and descriptions of anal orgasms it seems that there are several different types. Prostate-triggered are very common, and result in either an "ordinary" ejaculation response orgasm or an orgasm with a different ejaculatory response. In most cases there's a qualitatively different feel, and in some cases the men report not having the same feelings of a refractory period afterwards. It's possible that the female prostate (G-Spot) can be stimulated via anal activities as well.
There are also "anally-triggered" orgasms, which are pretty much ordinary orgasms that are triggered from anal play, probably because of the close proximity of the genitals and genital nerves. These usually happen combined with some genital play at some point during the session, if they happen with concurrent genital play I term them "anally-enhanced orgasms".

Last (and most elusive) is the full anal orgasm. From reports and descriptions it sounds as though this is a response of the rectal-anal area, possibly including the support muscles, and not involving the genitals.

I'd like to research this more, but I"m not exactly sure how to proceed - it would be a qualitative study, I know that much, but I'm not sure quite how to format the questions or find participants yet. Above that there's always the time question...
