Do you take a shower or "clean the area" at all? For example, if you're sweaty from a long day at work, exercising, etc. I saw a post on something similar for women, but I thought I would ask men.

I know my husband will shower when he comes home and he's rarely okay with me giving him head right after he's gotten home from work. I'm the same with him. More due to the gross feeling of being dirty. Neither of us really ever stink, but as far as genitals, men can really stink up the place when they stay sweaty for too long. Even my hubby can admit to that. It's nothing to be ashamed of, of course. But a man should take care of himself too. A little sweat is no biggie, but if it's been all day at work + the gym, a shower wont kill ya!

My boyfriend doesn't clean up before sex, and I have never noticed any odours. He doesn't have a job where he gets sweaty, and if he goes to the gym or has hockey he always showers afterward, whether we're going to have sex or not.

I'm a female and answering for my lovie. Since he showers (forever!) Lol immediately after work, it's always clean before I go there.

My husband always cleans immediately after work so this is not an issue for us b/c he's already clean. Plus, he's a computer nerd so he's not doing sweaty work if he didn't shower.

Yes. I would always make sure I am clean before I let anyone go down on me. Imagine the mortification if you were smelly down there. It only takes a few seconds to take a wash cloth to the area or even some mild baby wipes. I'm fine with a little sweat but if it's even close to being stale sweat it would make me gag. Why should I subject my wife to that!

I shower every night and I don't consciously clean myself before oral. Sometimes she'll go down on me before I shower or go down after. She has never mentioned anything about a smell or grossness to my package, so it's all good.

I like the fresh out of the shower smell and taste but I'm not horribly turned off by either of my men's smell/taste. So they generally will freshen up if they have been out and sweating.

when you cant shower i just wash my junk in the sink!! lol! might be gross but if shes willing to do that to me then id rather not put her through the alternative!!!

I am of the thinking it is always better to be clean out of respect for your partner as I would hope for the same from mine. I am a neatnick and a bit of clean freak so it has never been a problem. I am also one of those rare guys, or so I have been told, who prefers a smooth hairfree look. Just a personal preference...but I do think it makes for better oral sex. I know I definitely prefer a woman who is clean shaven. I think it makes being "fresh or clean" that much easier.
