So I've been hopped up on excitement for the past two days, and if I don't get it out somewhere, I'm going to explode. And since it relates directly to sex, what better place to shout from the virtual rooftops than here?
To make a long story short, I had gastric bypass surgery in November. I'm currently 109 lbs. lighter than I was this time a year ago. I have been overweight since I was 10 or 11, and was in the 250 lbs. range when I met my husband in 2000. My highest weight was 331 lbs. -- last April. Needless to say, my weight definitely affected our sex life. It didn't affect how much we had sex or how much we enjoyed it, but it definitely affected how I felt during and after, and it caused some... issues... with various positions.
(I swear I'm going somewhere with this)
Anyway, over the weekend my husband and I -- who I have been with for almost TEN YEARS and with whom I have two children -- had sex in the reverse cowgirl position. For the first time EVER. It wasn't just do-able, it was comfortable. And fun! VERY fun. Amazingly fun. Did I mention how fun it was?
I'm just so happy... I feel so NORMAL. I have a ways to go -- anyone who can do math can figure out that I'm still over 200 lbs. -- but I've come SO far, and the fact that we can FINALLY do just about any sex position we can dream up makes me so, so, SO happy!
