Do you find that music is a nice mood enhancer if played in the background while you're sexing? If so, what do you like to hear? What kills the mood?

I once had a boyfriend who listened to zydeco music, and when it came on, he was really getting into his thrusts...it would have been cartoonishly funny if I wasn't instantly turned off by it. It's like having sex to polka. Just...odd. Unless you have a Weird Al fetish, or something.

I don't like overly romantic music (except Nights in White Satin...God, that song is sexy). I tend to like moodier stuff that sounds sultry, like Massive Attack, Portishead, and maybe some classics, like Sinatra.

What do you think?

I think we are strange on this...as we are in many ways, however, we like our room QUIET during sex. Always have. Music, TV sounds (be it CNN or porn audio) all to be distracting. His penis rigidity is directly related to how quiet the room is and to NO distractions going on. In a quiet room, with no noise (Porn video part CAN be on), he is like a ROCK for hours. With even soft or sexy music.....he is NOT able to get or maintain a hard on. Always been that way, and thus WE want NO NOISE, beyond my soft moaning, that is.

I hate lovey dovey Marvin Gaye type music. No offense to those artists but they don't do it for me. I like playing anything that sounds dark and sexy, Massive Attack, She Want Revenge (top fave), Korn. Things that sounds melodic or animalistic.

I absolutely love the album " Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By" by the Lovage collaboration. If there was such a thing as sex made music, that t would be it.

I've searched, found and created a playlist of nothing but sexy, erotic and sexual music that I play in the bedroom during sex or our photo sessions. And since you listed them, yes, Portishead has several songs on my playlist.
