Bathtime fun! Or wait... What the heck am I doing?

So everyone, I've started this new thing. I've decided that I want to start making time for myself again once a week, skip out on sex (this is okay because my husband isn't fond of sex when I'm spotting" and have some quiet, alone time in the tub.

So I tried it today and I realized I am SO effing lost when it comes to sexual play in the bath tub - alone. I can do the whole sex thing in the shower or tub, but when it comes to toys or whatever, it seems like I just can get relaxed or I just can't do it right.

I like hot baths but hot water burns if your legs are open and warm water just feels weird.

I also can't seem to position myself right to relax... It all feels uncomfortable.

I have like... TONS of 100% waterproof toys so they really need to be put to some waterproof use.

This probably sounds totally silly that I'm having these many issues with this simple act, but I'd really love some suggestions. I'm gonna go re-try this in an hour or so after I'm done sorting my work files. So fire away!

(In a nutshell)

Try the water proof duckie if you have one. And start out with warm water, you can add more hot water when your ready. Good Luck!

Do you have an inflatable bath pillow? I think that would help with the comfort in positioning.

I agree with starting off with warm water and adjusting later on, also, I find that smaller toys are easier to work with than something big and bulky, especially if you have a smaller width to your tub!

Also try using some bath oils that are compatible with the toys you choose to use, sometimes bubbles can be distracting or if there are too many, make it more difficult to position yourself!

If you don't have a bath pillow, and you don't mind getting a towel wet for the occasion, you can fold up a towel and place it behind your head/neck to allow yourself to become more comfortable!

Good luck!

That's a great idea! I have a Je Joue MiMi which is totally waterproof. I foudn this off when my dog ate the first one and I tried to remove what was left of the silicone but it wouldn't come off no matter how hard I tugged. So it's definitely able to be submerged.

The towel is a good idea though. I used to have a bath pillow but I moved into our new house and I have never been able to find it. I didn't think of using a towel. The neck strain is just the worst!

That toy should be the perfect size then

I agree, it's impossible to be comfortable in the tub with nothing to support your head/neck, I had a bath pillow at one point and while I was using it, I noticed it was deflating due to a tear in the lining (wasn't well made, I'll admit) and in frustration I discovered towels work just as well, if not better, as long as you don't mind having to wring it out afterwards
