Hi everyone! So, I'm awfully lonely and have never been in a relationship. I've also never had a sex life outside my use of toys for self-stimulation. This all being said, I really want to date. The problem is, in the past, dating was a complete disaster for me. I met 95% ofy dates online and it was an absolute nightmare.

Does anyone know of any dating sites where the users take things seriously and are not just looking for a hookup?

In the past I tried OkCupid, POF, Mingle, Match, Bumble and Jump dates. They were all pretty awful. Any help is appreciated!

Dating "experts" opine that the best way to meet a suitable people is through friends. Social events (parties) is another excellent way to meet a suitable man.

Frequent popular spots; e.g., sporting events. Join clubs such as motorcycle clubs. Men love men toys ;-)

Dating sites can be dicey. I can't tell you how many women (and many men) have told me that they've been burned by online dating sites.

I do know of people who are very happy with people they have met on Facebook.

BTW, I would never, ever rely upon Internet background checks. 99% of them are BS. No one outside of sworn law enforcement officers have access to rap sheets. The best way to get to really know anyone is via in-person conversation. Pay attention to how he says what he says while looking for indicators of deception. If you were to ask a very clear question that a man does not unequivocally answer, he's hiding a material fact. Always let him do most of the talking. Never interrupt his answers. Not even the most accomplished sociopaths can hide their darkest secrets...if you are practiced at journalistic techniques. The problem with lying is a lie requires infinite lies to protect it. Hence, he's likely to inadvertently reveal a peripheral lie. Once a peripheral lie is exposed, it's practiced finesse and technique before you get to the protected lie.

Sometimes you have to be careful on what site you are using but there is always Meetme, Zoosk, Facebook also has a dating part to it.

I personally before I got married tried Meetme and other dating sites but I always had suspicions and trusted my inter gut along with researching who I was talking to to make sure it is all okay.

All the sites can be pretty awful. Apparently volunteering is used in this manner. Plus it gives ypu an opportunity to meet someone with simlirer interest
