Will you ever use a toy right out of the package? What if it arrives in a "sealed box" or other packing that looks very "clean"?

I always sterilize any toy before use, but was wondering what other folks do.

It depends on how the packages is sealed. I might use it right out of the box in some situations.

I always sterilize my new toys right out of the box, even when I'm not using it immediately; anyone could have touched them at the factory.

I don't sterilize new toys but they do get a thorough washing with antibacterial hand soap and water.

Hardly ever. I always clean first, but I have actually used one before washing it. It was Cleo. I had gotten it out of my mail box while leaving the house and I used it in the car (my partner driving, not me! LOL).

If it's a clitoral vibe and I'm not inserting it, then I might be tempted to use it before I wash it. But I almost always clean it first just for peace of mind.

I didn't once we were on the road and in the car. It was a wand and I just wiped it with a baby wipe. Not like I normally would wash it though =/

I don't always sterilize, but wash. Some items I obviously don't wash before trying it out, but that's more for trying on lingerie and items like that.

I always clean toys first. I have a cookie cooler sheet, and my cleaner always read to go. Unless it's an external enhancer, like nipple clamps, crops, feathers, etc. Those I tend to play with right away.

Not only do I clean all the toys right out of the package, I also wash all new clothing, sheets, towels, etc. before using. I'm so sensitive, I have to do that! However, I rarely feel the need to sterilize things since it's just me, there's no orifice swapping & soap & water work fine.

I also wash all new clothing, sheets, towels, etc. before using.

Everyone should do this anyway.

New garments and textiles are coated in a thin layer of formaldehyde to preserve the fabric and color, as well as to prevent excessive wrinkling.
