Memory foam beds, and water beds may be great for backs, but they suck for having sex. Way too mushy for knee support and positioning.

Anyone else wish their bed was harder or softer....then what they like to sleep in, for those times the bed is a "playground" not a "sleeping location"?

After posting this, a friend was discussing this with me and said that when they used to own a water bed, they used to put a blanket down and have sex on the floor. The bed was simply impractical.

We made love on a waterbed for about 12-13 years. We went from a bladder with plenty of wave action to a low-wave design. Finally we went to an air bed - it's great I sleep on it fairly soft - but when we're going to have sex I pump it up for support.

It's great - no compromise - and you can change it based on mood, injury or whatever...

We bought a new bed last year and it came down to either an adjustable air bed or a memory foam bed. We love the comfort of the memory foam but it really does suck for sex!

As you said, it's too mushy for support during sex - our Jaz and Wedge barely add elevation since they sink into the foam. We especially miss the firm support on the edge of the mattress.

My bed is just fine, only it sits to high for doggie with me standing and my wife on the bed on her hands and knees.

i like a firmer bed
