Working up to anal sex
I have had anal sex a few times in the past and it has been extremely painful and unpleasant for me. I'm looking for a product (or kit) that would be.

If you think anal sex is going to happen during a sex session, do you try to have a BM prior to that, even if you feel you "don't have to go"?
Do you make a specific attempt to empty your bowel, even if you don't have any urge to go right then?

I think it's more a matter of mood and proper getting ready to avoid any pain. Partners should be receptive of how to make it pleasing from start to finish. Remain relaxed, lubed and enjoy if it's something you wish to pursue. There's more in depth threads in the Anal Sex section link

We always make sure to take time to warm up. If we do, there's no pain at all for me, but I can't jump right into it.

No pain unless I'm impatient. Go slow, plenty of lube, and relax. Don't do it if you're rushed or worried.

I have no pain unless my man is rushing me to move along. Usually its smooth sailing.

My first experience with anal was painful, no lube, saliva and brute force by a former b/f. I was so negative on anything anal for some time. I eventually experimented alone with butt plugs and then my b/f. I do warm up with a butt plug and better yet an orgasm prior to his penetration.
I now totally love all things anal and usually masturbate with a butt plug in my ass. PIV sex is more intense for me, with a butt plug in place as well.
Anal sex can be very satisfying, w/o pain; with lube, warming up and patience.

Yep, so when it happens I back off and slow down. I find that things go faster when I take the time up front, otherwise my anus turns into a skittish animal that has to be convinced that everything's OK before I can do anything else.

I will be honest and say that yes, it always hurts at first. But then again, anal sex isn't something we do regularly. We had anal sex for the first time nine and a half years ago, and since then have probably only had it maybe 5-6 times per year. It just isn't our thing to do on a regular basis. So even though we do it the "right" way, prep with foreplay and lube and more lube, etc., it still does always hurt at first.

Same here. If he rushes or he's wasted or something, it'll hurt. But if I'm really turned on and we've been playing for awhile, it's a bit of pressure upon entry and that's it.

It's never supposed to hurt. Pain means youare doing something wrong...generally it means slow down, add more lube and RELAX.

It hurt the first time, and a few times after... cause I didn't wanna upset him cause he was enjoying himself.
But when he asked me, I told him it hurt... So we tried it with lube.. and he gave me a looong full body massage and played with my clit.. and I was completely relaxed
And we've been pretty much gravy each time..

There's a little pressure since we don't see each other that often... like I saw him last in July... and I might see him in December or January.. but yeah.

The first time didn't hurt for me but the second time it did as he just dove right in without stretching me out first. I was in so much pain. Then I decided to get a butt plug and tada welcome to EF!

The first time we attempted it he barely got in and it HURT. I rolled away and was tearing up it hurt so much. Didn't try again for a few months, I think he was afraid of hurting me again and I'm not really into it.
The other two times there was no pain, tho I gave him the chance to get me ready, as much as I didn't want to.

For me, it's not exactly pain every time but discomfort. The first couple of times I did it with my current partner, we didn't warm up much. I was fine while I had my vibrator on and hadn't orgasmed yet, but as soon as I did, it hurt and he had to get out. Now it's just kind of uncomfortable once I have an orgasm, as odd as that is. But if I take a couple minutes to just kind of chill and try to have another orgasm, I'm good again. I have a bit of a finicky booty.

It's not unusual to have some anal "downtime" after orgasming, and it's also not unusual to have some discomfort after insertion (it should not be pain). A prep orgasm and some anal foreplay might make things better.

It definitely hurts in the beginning, and it takes a few thrusts to get used to it. But, the more you do it, the more loose you become, and the less pain felt.

It depends on how often I do it, which is not much. So yeah, always a bit uncomfortable at first.

Go slow and use plenty of lube and there should be very little to no pain.

There are two degrees: a bit of discomfort is one thing (and does happen, especially if I'm not warmed up enough), pain is another and shouldn't happen (if it does stop, rest for a bit, and start again).
