Easter is coming up. Touchy subject for some...do you abstain from sexual activity on very "religious" holidays?

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
I have heard some people do...they say "it just doesn't feel right". Others make it a point to "show love to those they love on special occasions" and then there are those who say "heck, we are HOME with no where to rush off to...heck yes, take advantage".

So, what is YOUR feeling on this? PLEASE, no intent to in any way dismiss or belittle those who choose to abstain. I understand and respect your feelings...I am just wondering how common that is?

We've never "abstained" from sex during any religious holiday. Why would G*d care one way or the other if two humans are touching and pleasing each other?

I've never understood why sex is such a problem for more religious folk. It is a joyful and pleasurable activity! Seems to me it would be a great Joyful Noise Unto the Lord.

I've never abstained because of a religious holiday, and I don't intend to.

With Spring coming up, feeling sexy just comes easier. The whole holiday is based on the Spring Equinox, which is usually celebrated by new life and growth...Why not get down?

I'm not religious and I don't pay attention to Easter. I also don't abstain.

Last time I checked the bible, there were no reasons to abstain from having sex with your spouse.

Actually, I never gave it any thought. If it happens, it happens. I don't think it is wrong.
