hot wax play?

Contributor: Wondermom Wondermom
Me and the Mr. have been discussing things and I want to try some hot wax play (him dripping onto me) but I know next to nothing about it.

What are good candles to use, do you need any type of oils on your body etc

Depends - are you talking about normal candle wax or the ones made for hot wax play? They are a slightly lower temp than normal everyday candles, but still have quite a lot of heat in them.
I have the Blazing Waxxx candles which comes in a pack of 3 different colours, but unfortunately they still burn my skin a little too much and leave a mark for a couple of days - but my skin didn't blister.

I didn't use any oil on my skin. The wax just flakes off when ya finished.
I guess if they are too hot, perhaps holding the candle higher away from your body, so it cools a tiny bit more before it hits ya skin. I might actually try that to see if it works.

I know Eden carries a set, but they are just plain white ones that look like ordinary candles. Ya can get Japanese ones too.

Would oil make it hotter? Or maybe be a flame risk?

We just used standard candles. You can adjust how close the candle is to the skin to make the wax hotter or cooler.

you don't need to use any oils for wax. In fact, you might try massage candles to do double duty.

I went to a workshop where they suggested the dollar store candles in the tall glass containers...they often have saints and religious figures on them. They're cheap so they melt at a much lower temperature.

My partner and I always choose wax candles. We actively use wax play candles link. They add peppercorns to our feelings and relationships
