How many times in your life had you had sex?
My wife and I have only been with each other. All my friends tell me that I am missing out on the number of times I have had sex. I feel they are full of crap.
Let me do the math. I will start counting from when we moved in together.

Being living together for 11 years, 1 month, and 3 days. So aprox. 4,050 days. We have sex 5 days a week. So 578.5 weeks equals 2,893 times. Plus the times not counted when we did not live together. So that comes out to about 263 times a year. Give or take a few.
I am not trying to brag. That number is higher then any number my single friends my age had. And also higher then my married friends who have had a number of partners.
I am wondering about how the numbers stack up for other couples and individuals. Do people who have had multiple partners have more sex then those of use who stick with one?

I did not make this post for people to brag about their sexual conquest's. I just want some numbers to take back to my friends who tell me I am missing getting some because I choose to only sleep with my wife.

Why do you feel the need to prove yourself to anyone? I was about to commend you in the other post that I started about number of partners. It is very rare these days to be with one person for one's entire life, and that's something to be proud of, not ashamed of in my opinion. It's the quality, not quantity that counts.

As for the topic, I would say between roughly five years since I became sexually active, I've had sex probably less than a hundred times. Much of the reason for that is being in long-distance relationships.

My husband was a virgin when I met him and has never been with anyone but me, and has never shown any interest (even when we were still dating and I gave him the option, because I know a lot of men feel they have to "experience many women") in being with anyone else.

I have no idea how many times I have had sex I knew someone in high school that was counting but I really have no clue. Over the last three years since my daughter was born, I have probably had sex less than 100 times. However over the last month I've really made up for that, not to mention before my daughter was born.

I estimated my number. My current boyfriend is my 3rd partner. We've been together a year but don't live together. He works at least 10 hrs a day, 5 days a week plus goes to school part time so we don't have much time. We somehow have sex a lot. Some weeks more than other due to our schedules. Sometimes we'll have sex everyday (sometimes multiple times a day) and some weeks we'll only have sec once or twice. I estimated our number to be 150-200.

Oh, I am in no way ashamed of only sharing with my wife. Just the opposite, we both are very proud of only being with each other.

Thanks. Everyone tells me that. It was an LDR of 4 years, and I guess he just couldn't wait any longer despite the fact I could have moved to him this very year. (Only saw him for 2 weeks in person. Flying is expensive.)

I've had sex with 2 people and I picked less than 100 times a year, but it's hard for me to figure out the number. I think it would have been less than 100 times in the last year from today since I've only been with my bf for about 5 months, but for 2011 it will probably end up being at least 200.

I used to have a sex tally that I gave up this past year. I never averaged it out per year because when I'm single I'm basically celibate and depending on how many single years I had it can totally throw off the numbers.

But thrown off or not, I don't come anywhere close to 260.

I can't say for sure, but I'm willing to bet that people with one partner have more sex. I don't have one steady partner, I tend to sleep with people casually, but that means no reliable source of sex.
