Is anyone here giving up something sexual for Lent? I'm not Catholic, but lots of my friends are, and a couple of them have given up masturbation or sex before. Most of them hated it and swore to never do it again, though. Since it's that time of year (I'm already hearing gripes about being Catholic, no meat, etc), I figured I'd ask.

In my opinion it's kind of odd to give something sexual up for lent. I'm a bad, catholic, though, so my opinion probably doesn't count.

I have never partaken in Lent but was thinking of doing so this year (things not going so well with me) thought about giving up my twitter account and other naughty online activity but as you can see I did not.

I'm no longer Roman Catholic so no give up stuff for me, but I was never good at sticking to this give up stuff for lent thing even when I was a roman catholic.

What is Lent? Sorry I haven't done that since I was a kid. I won't be giving anything up, especially anything sexual.

I gave up shopping for Lent this year. The past couple of years I've given up eating out and then gave the extra money to charity at Easter. I like doing it that way better so that way someone actually benefits from my "sacrifice"

I'd never heard of it until high school. I can understand why some people do it, but it's definitely NOT something for me.
