orgasm & climax.....which is which?

Contributor: naturegirl naturegirl
I have always referred to the sensations & contractions I experience during foreplay as climaxes, often accompanied by an ejaculation and which are very pleasureable but not as mind-blowing as my full orgasm which is a whole body sensation. The major difference between the two is that the ones which are accompanied by an ejaculation leave me able to tolerate (and wanting!) more stimulation to either clitoris and/or Gspot, whereas my "orgasm" leaves me in a state where my bits become a no-go area for at least 20 minutes.
However, I seem to be in a minority, most people class orgasms and climaxes as the same thing. So the question is ladies: what do you call the different sensations you experience?

Seeing as the word "climax" basically means "the most exciting point/the pinnacle," I don't distinguish between a climax and an orgasm. Though I do have orgasms that feel differently, I just call all of them orgasms, climaxes, or "coming." If asked I might describe how one felt, but beyond that I never saw much point in giving them labels.

Though it sounds like yours have a more predictable pattern than mine. Aside from vibrators consistently making me squirt and toys in general increasingly the likelihood of a more intense orgasm, how they ultimately feel is kind of random.
