I'd never given this much thought up until now, when I responded to another thread that I can't have boob sex anymore because I have my sternum pierced. It really doesn't bother me one way or the other and my current boyfriend doesn't mind so I don't consider it a problem. But have you ever had a piercing or other body mod done that actually ended up inhibiting your sex life? Maybe a clit piercing that went awry, a penis piercing that caused issues with a partner? Microdermals that got rubbed the wrong way? Even a belly ring making someone on top of you uncomfortable? - I've wondered about that last one before because I took mine out when I was 16, before I started having sex.

Yes, belly ring was in the way, both with him on top and me on my stomach. Looked adorable, but when it just didn't seem to heal ever, I took it out.

My sternum bar would cause me a lot of pain because the skin between my breasts isn't all that plentiful, so when the skin would stretch while my ex would try and play with them, it hurt. And my really high hip piercings if he was on top, those would get pissy too.

the only thing i have pierced other than my ears is my lip and at one time i had my tongue, but neither caused me any problems other than the healing period, other than that they were all good.

Other than my lobes, I only have my lower lip and tongue pierced (two in lip, one in tongue). They've never given me problems, except a few times where one of the circular barbells in my lip fell out (either from giving head or from my face being pushed against the mattress, probably a combination of both). I had to kinda tear up the bed looking for the barbell afterwards. Found the bead a day later!
And besides his ears and septum, my boyfriend has both of his nipples pierced and his navel done. The navel doesn't get in the way at all, but I can't be very rough with his nipple barbells because it can be painful for him. Which is a shame because I'd love to tweak the hell outta them; I love nipple piercings! :]
It's kinda funny: after sex we both have to check for all of our jewelry, make sure we have all our beads and o-rings and barbells and whatnot.
