Hello everyone, Sorry for how long I made this poll. I tried to think about all the common questions I have seen in other polls and reports and put them together in one place. Please leave additional comments and questions if your comfortable to further thoughts and discussion.

I'm married and have never cheated on anyone I've been with. If I'm unhappy in a relationship I just dump the person. If I couldn't stand my husband anymore I would divorce him rather than cheat on him.

Same here. If I wanted to be with someone else I would just end the current relationship and move on. I have no plans to ever do that though.

-I'm an un-married female in a weird "sort of open but not open really at the moment even though it's something we're working towards, but we're still committed with freedom right now" relationship. (I think that's Facebook's definition of 'It's Complicated'.)

-I did cheat on my last serious boyfriend, but it was when our relationship was nothing but a title towards the end.

-It was with a co-worker.

-He had a serious girlfriend.

-There was only one time of drunken sexual activity, but lots of flirting and sneaking around on our lunch breaks at 2-3am.

-I told my boyfriend at the time about it. He also told his girlfriend.

-He's still with her even though the past boyfriend and I broke up (but still live together as awesome friends/roommates).

-I really don't think it's something I would like to go through again.

-I have been cheated on in the past, but this was my first and only serious time doing it.

-As a single female, I have slept with men in relationships.

Ok, enough with my novel.

Hey that is way awesome though and thank you so much for sharing this. I agree "Its complicated" probably really fits lol. I think when this poll is over it will show that it is a very common thing and that the how, where and when can be almost predictable. Though I do know we will have a lot of folks who never have, it will be closer to 50-50 then a lot of folks might think.I like you have been cheated on in past relationships. Like you I have slept with guys ( and a couple gals) who were in committed relationships - and even a couple married ones though they passed along that little tid-bit after the fact. My curent, first and I plan very much to be my one and only husband, share a sexually open marriage - meaning I can have sex with others provided we talk about the who and what before hand and that we both agree. He has the same option and a no vote from either ends the discussion without arguement, begging or pleading. At the start if our dating relationship I did screw up by fucking another guy who I had been dating ( and still sort of was but ge was out of the country at the time I started dating my now husband and had said we could date other people). The other guy knew about my guy I married but my future husband didnt know about the other guy. When the other guy came home from being tdy I met him at the airport and fucked him that night. When I saw the one I married the next morning by accident on my way home I still smelled like sex, had just been fucked hair and was wearing the other guys shorts and tshirt as my little black dress I had been wearing no longer was... He knew right off what I had been doing so I didnt try to hide it. The first big mistake was not making sure that both guys knew I wasnt in a committed relationship and knew about each other. The second was assuming that the one I married just thought we were dating - which in his mind we were not and we were in a committed relationship. Because of this I hurt him very badly and for that I was very sorry. I know most will consider what I am still doing as cheating - but it is with full advanced knowledge, mutual approval and open discussion before and after between both if us. It is made clear without question that I am married to everyone I play with and that my husband knows... and also that its just sex and I have no intention of leaving my husband for them or anyone else. Thats my story... thanks for listening all.

Mine's simple. I'm a female in a 5 year, commited relationship, never cheated and never would. We are faithful.

I have been cheated on in the past by ex's and I don't plan to ever hurt anyone like that. I do not want that kind of devastation, pain and damage on my hands. IMO it's as simple as making a phone call before you sleep with someone else and say, look it's over I'm interested in another person. I see it being painful, but a lot less than if you cheated.

When I was married, I never cheated at all.

During my single life, I have cheated on boyfriends that thought I cared more than I did. Not very nice of me. I used to be very wild and promiscuous.

I have settled down considerably and I'm glad; the road I was on could have only ended in disaster.

I have never cheated on my man and never will. I've never even cheated on anyone in the past when they actually deserved it (cheating on me multiple times, mental and physical abuse, neglect) but the way I see it is if your relationship isn't working, leave it. No point in lowering myself to their standards by doing what they do or worse than they do. To each his own, but cheating messes good people up. If they're too crappy of a person to be messed up and will just say "oh well not like I care" if you did cheat, then they weren't worth sticking around with anyway and I wouldn't want to be with them and would tell them it's over long before a situation came up where I even could cheat. I just don't believe in it. But some people are all for it, I just hate seeing the aftermath (such as the emotional damage done to me because of it, and to my current guy!)

I have never cheated in a relationship. I have been cheated on, but never done the cheating myself.

The closest I've come to it (and beat myself up for years about) was I told my committed boyfriend of three and half years that I wanted us to take a break so I could think some things through, and then kissed a male friend a few days later. I felt horrendously guilty because H and I weren't "broken up" but "on a break", so I called and confessed to it. I ended up breaking up with H and dating my friend (who turned out to be a total loser), and recently asked H if he had counted that as cheating. He said the thought never crossed his mind.

Married 32 years and never really thought about cheating - nor has he.

Visiting this site and reading about open marriages has really "opened" my eyes to the way so many others live...pun intended.

I can't picture myself in an open relationship and I would not want my husband with another lover.

There have been times when we were younger that we might feel an attraction to someone else - but we would tell each other and pray together about it and then find a way around it - for instance I might hang around a girlfriend alone rather than him being there because he was struggling a bit at the time (and vice versa).

Only happened a couple of times though and we realized that we had too much going on in our marriage to really be tempted by anyone else.

A few weeks after hubby and I started dating way back in college I blew my most recent ex-boyfriend. There was no lingering emotions at that point, though. He just had the most gorgeous cock and I wanted to service it one last time. The funny thing is, at the time, hubby knew we had hooked up. He brought it up in conversation a few years later. He didn't care at all that it had happened. I told him I'd give him a get out of jail free card since he was such a good sport. Not that he really needs it since we have a kind of open door policy in our marriage.
