My ex liked having rough sex pretty much. I'd even say he needed in rough sex periodically. Of course, he had never caused me any harm or trauma, but it always was next door to unacceptable. We had quite trustful relationships and I, knowing he would never hurt me, allowed him to be rough and rude. It was highly arousing and extremely satisfying for him.
For me, though, rough sex wasn't so much pleasure, but I found the way to enjoy it and since it was safe, I was ok with that.
