Sensory toy suggestions

f you love having your partner lightly stimulate the sensitive areas of your body, consider getting a feather tickler for him or her to run up and down your arms, legs, between your thighs. (A bird in the hand might be worth one or two in your bush.)

This cracked me up. It also got me thinking...

I really like soft, tickling touches sometimes. In fact, it's one of the things I like best about the Jimmyjane massage candles; the brush!

What are some other great sensory toys, either purchased or "perverted" from vanilla/household/norm al stuff?

ROFL! I'll never be able to say that bird phrase right again now!

A rose can be extremely sensual, particularly when skimmed lightly (and slowly) from the side of the jaw or neck, to the throat, and then down the midline of the body. The trick is to select a rose that has opened though, not one of the bud-like ones that seem to be popular on holidays.

Velvet gloves are awesome everywhere, and you can even get machine washable velvet now.

scratchy and pokey stuff: toothpicks, bamboo skewers, back scratchers, PDA stylus',plastic picnic knives, plastic pot scrubbers, flea combs, abrasive pads (no soap!),chopsticks, hair clips

Soft/textured stuff:driving gloves (those cheap "one size gloves" with the textured palm), chains, pom-poms, feather dusters, fur gloves/pieces of fur, plastic pearl necklaces, dental floss,

hot/cool sensation stuff: breath strips, peppermint oil, popsicle molds for making ice dildos in conjunction with condoms, paraffin emergency candles (white, unscented paraffin wax candles), tealights, Rub A535 or icy hot,

The only real limit is imagination. A light touch with most things feels really nice! Metal utensils pick up heat and cold for nice sensations - try alternating cold and hot servig spoons

I agree. I think the key is first to slow down and really consider what might feel good to your partner, then how to go about creating that sensation. Often we go move too quickly during sexual encounters, especially with partners we have been with a long time, because we know some things that work really well already.

I love necklaces (like long strands of pearls or beads), flowers, the sensation of being written or drawn on with a marker (my partner enjoys this as well), candles, coins that have been chilled in the freezer, teabags (still hot - and this also gives a sensational smell depending on the tea), popsicles (these should not go inside, though) -- to name a few.
