Shhh... The kids are sleeping!

Every parent must deal with this.. you are trying to get romantic with your husband/wife/partner/e tc.... and then your little one yells "Mommy/Daddy come and cover me up!"

For me it can be a mood killer. Am I the only one who sometimes loses interest in having sex when your kids interupt the moment?

Thinking about having children in the first place is enough to kill the moment for me.

I am so glad that ours are beyond that stage.

We have two boys, 2 and 4...they can certainly make it difficult for us to get "mommy and daddy" time in if we don't want to wait until they're asleep for the night. our oldest will generally sleep through anything, including our loudest/most vigourous play time...our youngest, it's a toss-up. The days that they're being particularly trying can certainly put a damper on any desire for nookie.

Funny story...one night my wife's riding me, and we're going at it hard and heavy. At some point our oldest wakes up and quietly opens our bedroom door...no idea how long he had been standing there watching us, but eventually we hear his little voice ask "daddy, what are you doing to mommy"? Bam...instant boner killer. My wife was mortified...

What we're really worried about is being walked in on during pegging play...oi. Don't want to have to explain that mommy really doesn't have a peen, and why it's ok for mommy to put her not-peen in daddy's butt when we've told him not to put things in his butt (well, not to put things between his buttcheeks)...

It has definitely ruined a few moments with us. The times where you get back into it though are fun, not hot and sexy so much for us, but fun, where we joke about another interruption usually.

We still out of kids .. but some days I will. So up to that day I will start thinking about it.

I think it is not a mood issue only, it is also a problem with dressing. My wife get a full lingerie dressing, so if -in future- my kid calls, then I am the one who must go to him/her ... But .. But if he/she insists to be replied only by mother (who takes 10 min for dressing), then it will be an issues of mood and frustration.
