Songs to Set the Mood

Contributor: VieuxCarre VieuxCarre
Do you have a particular song you use to set the mood? If not a particular song, what about a CD or a particular artist? Or do you not use music at all and just get to it using the sound of your bodies and such?

Personally, I'm a sucker for Josh Groban. His song "My Confession" gets me in the mood 99% of the time. The words and the music itself is just so soothing and sultry and it gets me a flutter a bit more than I already am with my partner (when I had a partner).

Mostly any thing from the late 60's and 70's Rock. It is what we listed to when we met and has always kinda take's us back to the good ole days. It never fails to put us in the mood when the radio plays something from that time.

Aside from that I really like when the wife plays Pink, I don't care for her but the wife gets really hot and I know I can get some.

I used to listen to Lady Gaga's 'Bad Romance' and Taylor Swift's 'You Belong with Me' because they ALWAYS played on the radio whenever I would drive to Mulder's for our fun. Which made sense in a zen sort of way because of our FWB relationship taking off from what we didn't acknowledge in high school. (I'm not making this up, they really would play during my half hour drive.) As a result, I associated the songs with him ... haven't listened to them since it ended.

It really depends on my mood and what kind of sex I want. Combichrist, oldies, dirty hiphop, alternative screamo, or techno...they all produce a different mood.

OMG! My guy was listing to Michael Bublé- feeling good, and softly singing it, just sitting on the floor. I totally wanted to jump his bones. lol When I told him I was really digging Michael Bublé's music he's like you just earned class points. lol Then I said, 'Well do I loose them because it turned me on' and he said, 'No, Michael Bublé turns every one on' Then I said it was mostly cuz he was singing it, and he said something like good cover lol

Another song that gets me in a playful/frisky mood is EGO by beyonce with kanye west.

I've never thought to listen to Pink. I'd think she'd put me in the mood to do some hurtin' on my lover. The good kind that is

I'm sorry to hear that your relationship ended. Have you listened to anything else by Lady Gaga since to get in the mood? Or was it that one song that got you going?

I'm just curious, because I adore Lady Gaga

Dirty hip hop? We should take classes together to learn how to properly booty pop for our partners (when I get one that is).

I can't listen to Michael Buble because I just want to do naughty things to him. And then I start fantasizing and it's game over. But I agree. He's fabulous for getting into the mood as well!

It's just an association - "Ooh, I'm driving to his place and 'Bad Romance' is on again ... " I do a lot of association of music to men in my life: "Waiting for a Girl Like You' by Foreigner with my only boyfriend in high school. 'One Good Woman' by Peter Gabriel with my ex-husband. Mulder's was 'Bad Romance' by Lady Gaga. Music plays, I think of that person and the fun we had.

I think if one particular artist did get me in the mood, it would be David Bowie - his turn in 'Labyrinth' started puberty in me.

(I still like Lady Gaga, I just haven't driven in the car at that time of day anymore, so I don't hear it as much.)

There isn't anything that really gets me into the mood every single time, but my fiance always tries for the 'classics' like "Sexual Healing" or, well, anything by Barry White, lol

If we listen to music to get in the mood, pretty much anything metal does the trick.
