Would you let a professional photographer take nude photos of you if you knew you were the only one who would have the photos, even if the photographer got to see you naked? In the digital age...he/she would hand you the memory card right out of the camera, so there would be no worries...you would have the only copies.

If yes...would it matter if the photographer was male or female?

I agree with Chilipepper here, I would rather have pinup style photos over nude. I can do nude pics of myself all day long, no need for professional shots when it comes to that.

I agree with Chilipepper and Camoprincess, I'd rather do a pinup style shoot. I really want to do a shoot like that actually, and soon! But I wouldn't care if the photographer was male or female as long as they were good at telling me what positions looked best and at getting good shots!

No pro photographer is going to hand over a memory card straight out of camera... at least none that I know... 2 reasons: You don't just give someone all the files from a shoot, because chances are there are some that are less than great. Most pros wouldn't want their name on subpar pics.


Second reason: A lot of people wouldn't know what to with the files straight out of a high end camera.


That being said: I am a male, and a photographer. I'm comfortable being nude, and if taking pictures of someone nude (when it is a business setting) they are just a client, and I will take care of their needs/wants to the best of my ability.

If it is personal shooting.... nvm hahahaha

Not for us, definitely not for my wife who is too shy to let even me take nude or glamour shots of her. Being able to do personal intimate photography discreetly is one of the best things about the digital photography revolution, IMO. The first pics I took with my first digital camera were nude shots of myself, lol!

i would do it. if you are worried about them doing something with the pictures, do some research first and find someone with a good reputation. it should not matter if it's a man or woman; but, whatever you are comfortable with. the only way to get great pictures is to hire a pro. if it's a matter of money, well, shop around...but, you will get what you pay for. if it's about being nude with someone you don't trust...be smart, do some research, check references, talk to high end photographers. they may not do shoots like that, but they will know who does and who to trust.
